The BIGGEST gum yet (not MTM 62SX)

Michael and I on another falling job over at Peter's place taking on what might have been the biggest gum to date.
Big thanks to Tony for hooking us up with a bunch of nice gear to make things safer and more enjoyable.
The chainsaw featured in this video is a made in Germany 1992 Dolmar PS9000.

Thanks Tony. Great use, apart from breaking two. Still learning... one wedge at the start would have been enough if I had kept cutting a little bit further towards the hinge. Next time...

You have been watching far to many American logging show. That facing cut is ridiculous. And why you cutting the stump so high

Yes, the face cut in this one was a bit of a struggle. Most farmers want them cut this high so they can clearly see the stump when slashing with the tractor. Easier than removing it completely. Cheers

The modern humbolt is an excellent undercut for getting the tree to jump clear of the stump. I’m from a timber cutting family since the 40’s. Can you explain why you think a humbolt is rediculous and where and why you would use various different undercuts?
