Looking for a professional recommendation for an upgrade pick: Alfa Nano, Gozney Dome or Ooni Karu 16. I want to be able to cook with both gas and wood, ideally being able to preheat with gas and then finish with wood. I mostly cook neapolitan pizza at the moment on my Ooni Karu 12 (wood only)--which I really like, but would appreciate my next oven to give opportunity to branch out into new high heat cooking. I'm willing to spend the $2k for the Nano or Dome, but would love to save the money they aren't additional cost over the Karu 16.

Hey David great video. I’m almost sold, but I have a question, can you use the hybrid kit with this cooker to use wood on occasion? It seems as though the stone area is a little small to fir a larger pizza and burn wood.

I haven’t tried the Nano in a hybrid kit, so I’m not sure I can speak to that. I know that some of Alfa’s larger models like the Brio are very successful with the hybrid model, so that might be worth a look.

Great job on review. Debating between the Gozney Dome vs the Nano/Moderno 1 Pizze. It doesn't appear you have tested the Gozney yet. Do you have any thoughts on the Gozney Dome vs the Nano ?

Hello. I cooked on an alfa oven this weekend and loved it. Question I live in the Florida keys in a very salty environment. How do these ovens and their stands do in a very salty environment?

I live in the middle of the Midwest, so I can’t really speak to the effect of sea water on our Alfa. I’d love to live close to the sea just to find out though.

Now that you have used both the new Alfa Portable and the Alfa One, would you recommend one over the other?

It really comes down to which size you'd rather have. There's more room in the One, but the Portable is more compact and easier to move around. Other than that, they're extremely close in form and function.

How does it go with multiple cooks does the stone hold. It's heat well?

The stone floor is so thick that once it gets hot, it stays hot and multiple cooks back to back doesn't really phase it. Getting the stones to temperature takes longer though, since they're so thick.

I don't have the NG version of the Nano, so I can't really speak to that, but I'd assume it performs very similarly to the propane version.

This review is very confusing. Are you reviewing the Alfa One here? Or are you reviewing the Alfa Moderno Portable? The website for Alfa does not show any ovens called a "Nano".

This oven has gone through a name change over the past year, and it changed in the middle of our review, so it's the same oven with two names depending on when you watch this video back.
