Here's my review on the 4th album from Algiers - Shook....
This album did leave me shook alright, but I'm not even sure exactly how to put it.

For whatever reason, Crash, you are one of very few critics who's opinion I'm interested to hear even if I don't care about the subject at all. As far as I'm concerned, you can feed the algorithm with short, individual reviews as long as you please.

New artist grammy has always been a... controversial award... I'm excited to see you talk about the 90s, which is my fav decade for music

Oh, this record really does sound entirely up my alley! Been a pretty serious Algiers fan since the début and I'm a lot more tolerant of indulgent experiments and ominous atmospheric digressions so even if I'm not *always* huge on spoken word, this honestly sounds rad-and as expected of Algiers, politically pretty based.

Psyched for the video on the Best New Artist Grammys! One potential experiment I want to do someday is take every BNA winner and listen to their Best Ofs/Greatest Hits and see how they hold up. I'm not familiar with the discographies of any of them except like the Beatles.

@4:00 pronouncing names correctly is overrated. I nearly became a meme for saying "Sheldon" instead of "Shelton" because it's so overrated, haha. People have to keep in mind that in day to day life, we don't talk about Rock N Roll that much, so when we gather together to talk music, it's totally okay to mispronounce.

He comes from a Mexican-American background and De La Rocha is not an uncommon surname so unless he says otherwise, I think it's safe to pronounce it as CHA
