I'm continuously surprised at the fact that you aren't dominating this platform in the manner of a ShadowTodd or Melon. Depth of analysis? ✅ Sense of humor? ✅ Witty visuals and editing? ✅ I guess it's just really hard to break through these days. Appreciate you though, man.

Todd in the shadows is dominating? Like I know he has 500k, but dominating?
@stevegeorge6880 Жыл бұрын
@@cybercrasherstv last I checked, he was certainly in the top 10 among current pop music reviewing KZfaqrs, but you can also see his influence among a large number of smaller KZfaqrs who cite him as the inspiration for what they do. Perhaps dominating isn't the right term, but he certainly occupies a substantial place.

Gang Gang Gang was genuinely impressive to me when I first heard it, was pleasantly surprised to see him tackle serious subject matter and pull it off

It is nice to see someone learn from mistakes from a previous album. Just didn't expect that to come from Jack Harlow.

Part of why I really liked the last song, "Questions", is because it asks the same thing you do near the end of the video: who is the "real" Jack Harlow? A lot of the stuff he asks and reflects on based on his career trajectory and even wondering if this album is just a deflection of an identity he doesn't want to own is really interesting. It shows the project does come from a legit place, but even he's not sure how much of it is just insecurity. I really like that ambiguity because I think it's something a lot of artists, especially in a lucrative space in the mainstream, have to reckon with, and I appreciate Jack keeping it real for a moment whether he goes back to the clown stuff or not.

Dude! take the time you can! You're videos are always great to see on my feed, but not at the cost of your mental health. I'm just appreciative you're still around.

Pretty good album. Kinda reminds me of some of his early mixtapes (which are pretty good as well).

Too many awkward lines kept pulling me out of the songs. Honestly it doesn't do enough to keep me interested and just should be looked at as a mixtape/ep considering the length.

Are you attenting sonic temple this year? I saw ya walk past me at the one in 2019. I should've said hi.

I will give Jack Harlowe this. As far as goofy white rappers trying to be serious and reflecting on their own place in hip hop culture, I've seen a lot worse. (cough*Macklemore*cough)

Full disclosure. I live in Louisville and ran into him and sort of eavesdropped a little not too long before he did the photoshoot for the album cover. I 100% believe, as a non-fan, that this album is more of the real him than the goofy shit. Take that for what you will.

I'm wondering if he didn;t want to do a fully serious album and some suits told him to put in the goofy shit because that's what they think the fans want. It's not so much a tone thing but something that reeks of a compromise.

I thought this was pretty good, but it's definitely not the best he could do. Lot of the songs feel unfinished. It feels like a springboard for future broadcasts in general
