I mean within the context of the films i felt cheated, I was invested in Hicks in Aliens but by Alien 3 he was gone within the first 5 mins 😭

Well by the time Aliens 3 was made, it was obviously just milking the franchise at that point - killing off main characters to focus on some ridiculous story that got worse as time went on. Then you have the video games, they're just as bad, because they're also milking the franchise. So either way you feel cheated, both watching anything after second Alien movie and playing these abomination movie IP games.

@YoStu There were already devs that could create better cutscenes with actual emotion since the 2000s, this mess was just handed to an unknown dev by Gearbox.

Sad part is the same year he did Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon and sounded like he had a great time. Just goes to show that when a studio isnt in shambles and the projects going well, those involved have more fun

The dlc explains how he lived and to be fare the body is unrecognizable after the crash.

he did die, he went with ripply and the kid got in the stasis escape pod then died when they crash landed on the planet in the beginning of aliens 3. so I'm calling bullshit, did they even watch the alien movies before they made this like come on.

reapergames1990 . If you look it up was 20th Century Fox and Ridley Scott who both approved this idea along with Gearbox Software, Sega, TimeGate Studios and Darkside Game Studios. So you had all those people who knew that this is a science fiction world anything can happen. Hicks' face was never showed at all beyond a computer graphic image. So what are your thoughts on Alien: Out of the Shadows and Alien: Isolation which have been added to the canon by 20th Century Fox too?

I like to play the full game/read the full book before I make judgments. I haven't read Out of the Shadows so I don't really have an opinion on it, as for Isolation, it could work considering they set it in a time period were essentially nothing happens in the cannon except Ripley flying around in the shuttle, (At least according to the films) so it could work, I'm eager to see for myself because I am intrigued though not trying to be optimistic or pessimistic about it at this point.
