MOAB, UT - Deadman's Ridge at the Bar M/Brands trails.
I went to the Bar M trails to ride the Sidewinder and accidentally stumbled about this technical gem, Deadman's Ridge! This was a pleasant surprise and a trail I would absolutely ride again. Note, I did ride this trail North to South.
Deadman is a very chunky trail with lots of unique technical features. The climbs are what really set this trail apart. The rock is very grippy and after a rider cleans one switch back, guess what? You have another…..and another. Most importantly, everything is attainable by progressing riders and I see it as a black trail to intermediate riders and a blue trail to advanced athletes. There's not much for drops, but expect several opportunities to go OTB or smash that pedal into that side salad rock. Be careful.
At the end of the day, find this trail perfect for the area. Bar M is most widely known for its easier trails, but in my opinion, Deadman's is a great opportunity for a rider to expand their horizons before giving efforts to Captain Ahab or Porcupine Rim! Both in which are great black diamond progression trails.

Having ridden old Moab classics for next to 30 years, from Slickrock to Porcupine to White Rim, I am mystified by the attraction for new-age trails that resemble nothing more than suspension-testing thrashfests. Some vistas are there, but at the expense of actually enjoying the ride. Gee, I really love beating the hell out of my body, my machine, and the trail, day after day. Glad someone enjoys this sort of riding, 'cause it ain't me.

What a solid trail video Gold; that terrain looks impressively technical. I thought you'd have more pedal strikes than you did; only noticed one. You have some skills and made that look relatively easy and didn't even seem out of breath. The builders did an awesome job as it appears to be a work of art. On a different topic, why is your channel demonetized now?

Thanks for supporting the channel mnthigh altitude rides! That trail was super chunky and I'm honestly surprised that I didn't wreck lol. It really was a work of art and it reminded me of one my local trails called Moore Fun. On demonetization, KZfaq is kicking channels that have less than 4,000 hours of watch time and 1K subscribers off the ad program. I'm making light of it because I made $3.00 a video. Some guys are really annoyed with it, but oh well. There are just raising the bar!

Now that I have that out of the way, in my limited recollection I think my best effort here was the part where I said "This thing never ends" lol I was feeling the🔥But, I have yet to conquer the amazing step up skills of the Crashing Dad, but we have to start somewhere right?
