Sidewinder, Mountain Biking the Brands trails, Moab Utah, 4K Stabilized

MOAB, UT - Sidewinder at the Bar M/Brands trails.
The Brands trails are mostly known for the easier terrain and often get snubbed by more advanced riders. I do not shy away from these rides, mostly because I appreciate a variety of terrain that has one thing in common….. A sweet downhill. "If you aren't having fun, you're not riding fast enough" Zack Sheets at OTE. I largely decided to ride the Sidewinder with the inspiration of James Barton calling it one of his favorite trails (paraphrase).
Sidewinder and the Brands Trails are located adjacent to Arches National Park and feature some low risk dirt terrain. It's a short 1.2 miles intermediate trail that's very flowy with isolated chunky sections. I had a good time riding it twice. Sidewinder isn't the only highlight as we'll check out Deadmans Ridge in the coming days.

I've always shied away from these in favor of the other more iconic trails, but this looks perfect for the wife and the other intermediate riders in my crew that aren't trying to climb tech and air drop. Thanks for filming and sharing.

Good job man I don't know squat with filming but what ever your doing rocks I feel like I'm on your bike riding. I can see every hump and bump and I catch myself going through the motions of preloading before a dip and vise versa. Thanks again

Thanks Monster! Its a weird spot at Bar M, there is a fault running right through and there is some outcropping of the very red dirt (I think its called Chinle Formation). It even kind of messes with the camera lol.

Haha right! Every time I pass through Fruita/Junction on my way to Moab but still have not stopped to ride the trails there.. Perhaps I ride them vicariously through your channel haha But I will soon! Keep up the good work, love the content

You should pull of the interstate at Loma and ride Horsethief Bench! Then get back in the car and go to Moab. That's my favorite trail.

Gold bar rim! Rode that during fall 2018 outerbike! Ass over tea kettle twice! Didn’t do portal due to the wind and rain!

Dude! That weekend during Outerbike was SOOOO rainy, pouring buckets in Fruita. Gold bar Rim doesn't mess around though and it doesn't take long to get in a bind. Thanks Andrew!

Thanks TCD! I think you can out and back it, but if you take the bike path, you can ride it again and again and again. The real jewel next to Sidewinder was Deadman's Ridge. That was a FUN trail!

Great video, Sidewinder is one of my favorite trails in Moab. We don‘t have these kind of trails in Switzerland

Kagan thanks a bunch. Most importantly I really appreciate the feedback. I think the audio coming in on the left side is a mistake on my end, probably from the voice recording software. I didn't catch it from my computer, but I'll have it fixed in the next video! Thanks Kagan!
