My guess on Gings ability is that he would be able to learn the abilities of every nen user that becomes his friend ,maybe on the condition that he have to have a certain number of friends made etc. He created greed Island and then offered huge money to beyonds crew and eventually almost half of them sided to him instead of pariston..and with that being said it means he may have all the card copies in greed island free to be used , that is something very useful on dark continent as well

Huh, excellent idea. While he can copy simple strike-type hatsu on his own, he could potentially copy much more complex hatsu under the conditions you mentioned. I dig it. It's a bit OP, but this IS one of the top 5 Nen users in the world we're talking about.

One key characteristic of specialists is that they tend to gather followers right? Neon had all the mafia depending on her future readings, even her father use it to grow in popularity. Chrollo basically turned his group of friends into a cult like group, you can see that all members of the spider treat him more like the leader than a close friend. And theres Pariston that gather all the "weaklings" of the association and turned them into his own political group. This is why I think Ging is a specialist, he seems to create organizations to do the most impossible tasks. I agree that Gings ability is basicaly the power of friendship. I have this theory about what it might be but would take much time to explain ha.

As a terrorist hunter the dragon himself would have quite the inclination towards fire and if he is a enhancer being smack bang in between emission and transmutation is perfect for such an ability.

Very good point. Asian dragons tend to be more associated with water and storms, but his attire is red and fire themed, which lends further credece to your idea.

@@slevinchannel7589 It is understandable that someone would believe that genetics play a role in men typing when you consider that all of Kikyo’s children (except for Killua) have the same category as her, Furthermore Silva has the same category as Zeno, Personally J think it is to do with how they are raised rather than their Genetics, Kikyo would raise her kids to have personalities similar to her and this would explain why Killua has a different category to all of them since he is the least aligned with his families ideals, Despite my disagreement with the genetics theory I cannot blame people for believing it.

6:55 there's actually no proof that Ponzu knew Nen, or, more specifically, how to use Nen. she may just train bees. a more accurate comparison would be Squala.

As mentioned in the video, Ponzu was actually given an Emission-lean Manipulator categorization by Togashi. This, of course, entails she was indeed awakened to Nen. I go over this in the New Nen Diagram series, specifically thr vid covering Manipulators. Feel fee to check it out for a bit more info. Squala would've been a good example too though.

i was kind of disapointed in the design of the zodiacs but thematically it fits the goofy selfish childlike nature of a hunter perfectly in fact they along side netero and gon are the epitome of that and i think its a great subversion of expecations of the early hxh at first the hunter association was a mysterious organization than we find out that the hunter association does not have a big virtuous purose or duty and most hunters are like gon powerful selfish egocentric children its like if you give spoiled child the power to do what he wants and live his fanatsies almost like a parody of the viewers and early hxh.. all of this ties up to their role in the story at first they were a big mystery to gon and the viewers after the netero and meruem fight and the reveal of the real nature of hunter which is shallow and inimoprtant and underwhelming so did their inroduction and role in the story this is also why they characters werent fleshed out and their abilities werent even explained now they are just little pieces in the grand political schemes and themes that togashi is exploring except for pariston and cheedle who may have a more important role

I agree for the most part, though quite a few Zodiacs seem to be serious and responsible fully aware of what they stand for and represent. That's precisely why I personally find their Furcon getup so jarring. We can rationalize it in-world in quite a few ways (your comment may have actually inspired a video in the future), but my gut tells me that it all comes down to Togashi having wanted to draw some out-there and fun designs, first and foremost. I do hope it's touched on a bit, rather than everyone just accepting that the top brass of the Hunter Association are just all... cosplay enthusiasts.

@@theoverthinker348 i believe the designs of the charatcers are intentional and not random the design is related to the characters personality and role and maturity an grounded nature and many other things..for example .. the dreamers and hunter and and eccentric character have a goofy and overexagerated and cartoony design..while the more grounded and serious and mature and fleshed out characters have a more realistic design and clothes and proportions..because hxh is a perfect mix between shonnen and seinin which what makes it great

I can totally see tiger pitching himself the ball. While its not done professionally it dose fit the child hood game aspect of hunters abilities, like knov's hide and seek gon's rock paper scissors or killuas yo-yos.

Razor's 14 Devils aren't Emitted they're Conjured. Same goes for Knov's room and Knuckle's Hakoware. There is a reason why Razor was ranked Great despite being so stronger, since his nen ability is entirely based on his opposite affinity, same as Morel surprise surprise who also got ranked Great for relying on Transmutation despite being a Manipulator.

Zeno ia an emitter uses a nen beast and still is an ultimate ranked nen user... There's no way emitters can't use nen beast....

@@talhazubaer9108 Every Nen Users has access to all nen categories except Specialisation for various reasons, but proficiency and efficiency differs respectively. Razor is a Pure Emitter, he has pure emission attacks like when he destroyed Troupe's Ship and Dodgeball game. Then he have another ability named 14 devils where he can summon 14 Nen Beast (0-13) which are Conjured and Manipulated. Same goes for Zeno but in his case he uses Transmutation instead of Conjuration.

@@kvng7723Nope dragos dive is his primary ability..he wouldn't have gotten ultimate if he relied on transmutation that much ..Nen beast are also emitters thing ..Castro used conjuration even tho he had 60% control over it but it was stated a dumb move both by hisoka and narrator...

Pariston is most definitely manipulator turned specialist. I don't think that little fact was mentioned randomly and for no reason all the way back in york new; and I think Pariston is a good fit personality wise for both. The charisma and independence of a specialist and the argumentative nature of a manipulator.

You would be annoying even *if* you weren't blatantly and obviously incorrect, but you are. Zeno is literally labeled as an emitter at the very timestamp you're linking. If you're gonna be wrong, do it on you own time and only do it once, don't go replying the same wrong thing to every comment you see.

One big distinction that emmited objects seem to have compare to conjured one is that they are still somewhat connect to the user in the sense that the user can just call their aura back and the emmited object would disappear while in conjuration the objest is separate from the user and cannot be called back in the same way which is why I think that knuckle is a conjurer as apr and irs do not work like an emitted objects.

Exactly, but I'd argue the very opposite. Aura transfer is an Emission-based ability type, and APR being itself an emitted construct would fit it far better in my opinion. I go into detail on this in the New Nen Diagram series, specifically the one covering Conjurers.

Changing existing things such as your own body is Conjuration. It’s the type used to turn objects into animals and people into boats and weapons.

There's decent evidence which points to the notion that, at least morphing your body, is Transmutation-based. As mentioned, Togashi has become quite liberal with the various Hatsu and their classification as of the Dark Continent saga. Hinrigh and Lynch being great examples of this. As such, a lot of things have become a lot more ambiguous. For more context, specifically on this, I recommend you check out some of the videos from the New Nen Diagram series on the channel.

@@snowman9631 His explosive nen ability was transmutation, his shapeshifting could either be dipping into conjuration which he had 80% proficiency or an innate ability of the magical beast used in his construction. Every other ability that transmutes the user’s body or transforms objects have been conjugation, e.g. Hinrigh’s Biohazard or Tsubone’s vehicles to name just two abilities.

About the cow's grid - i would possibly theorize that its space-related condition? Like "i can only paralyze someone within X by X box" or something. That...makes sense, sort of, no? So, for example, it MAY be impossible to paralyze someone big, like Youpi, for example, or even Meruem with wings out. So its, like, a cell, you know?

Rrriight, I feel ya. So bigger dudes like Ginta or Botobai would be out of the question? It's a definite possibility, but seems a bit awkward for a limitation. It'd be far weaker than Kurapika being able to use Chain Jail only on Troupe members (for example), since Mizai can still paralyze 99.9% of people. So while it's absolutely possible, I don't think this kind of limitation would balance out and open up that many options to him.

I think Paris will give his nen to anyone he controls using manipulation so maybe that's why the robo girl is so powerful. This is after they give him a sort of permission and loss their humanity

Gin might have enhanced perception. The rabbit conjure people and things from the past as long as she's spoken with them if they're a person she can also alter objects to a past version of them selves including people. Tiger catch nen abilities and throw their effects through a ball rooster enhances other with a shout.snakes poison. Ram changes people emotions changing their nen to the different forms like zetsu. I think gin is stockpiling nen abilities with gon ( he was born with gins ability )and pap is the mother of gon through nen magic. I think pap could be reason for his poison resistance. The dog conjure antibodies for any disease she's had

i don't see a linguistics hunter not being a specialist, especially since she's the one who does all the speeches, even over pariston, which takes some damn charima, hisoka's system aint the best but with how little info we have it's the best we got
