Great video! One example i thought about recently is Shoot. We know he doesn't have a arm and his abilities all seen retated to that (controlling desembodied hands, takings his opponents body parts), indicating this lack is very important to him. Makes you wonder if this has something to do with his cowardly behavior. Based on this it is possible to paint a role scenario where he overextended himself, lost an arm and becomes terrified of beind put in risky situations as we see in the show.

I love your analytical eye for stories like this and One Piece, so seeing you branch out more and explore Hunter X Hunter as well as other manga in more depth would be welcome!

Okay but for real, as a martial artist and an Avatar fan I’d make a Nen martial art that rides the line between conjuror and enhancer. The idea is the internal side of this martial art lets you define your style of Nen manifestation in relationship with each and every technique, while the external side deals in the enhancement of not only your athletic abilities but also your combative evolution (it’s like 50years battle IQ increase and a zenkai boost for every minute the fight lasts)

By coincidence you chose 3 conjurers (And Chrollo who also conjurs the book) thou Conjurers do tend to have the most amount of personality in their abilities, becouse they have so many options, and no simple powerfull one. If Cheetu was an emhancer or emitter he would have had such an easier time...

I'm pretty sure I would be a Conjurator and my Nen ability would be conjuring a worn item (like a scarf) that I can wear and use as a weapon and tool. Adding Transmutation to the mix said wearable item could be steel hard or flexible like a bungie.

I’d probably break the power system trying to write a Nen contract that effects opponents rather than me
