I remember when I shaved mine for the first time. My first reaction, I felt so free . Then the anxiousness kicked in & I started thinking "what if people think I look like a boy?" And my husband is so so about it. He doesn't say outwardly that he doesn't like it & says I can style it how I want. But I know he prefers me with long hair. So I had a day of anxiousness & I let my hair grow back out. Then I missed the free & confident feeling I first had when I cut it, so I buzzed it again & now I keep it low. It just feels so freeing & now it makes me feel so confident.

Yesterday I went from waist-long, curly hair to almost spit-shine bald. She said she wasn't trained to use the ...scalpel (?) but still cut it using "0" on her buzzer. I absolutely love my head! I just turned 60 (yes, sixty) and I'm in love with life!

I have cancer. So during chemo my hair was falling out and i just went and had it shaved. It wasn't bald so i asked her if she could straight razor it and she did. It felt great! I had to smile when you mentioned how your husband became a short-hair guy ... so did mine. I shaved my head about fifteen years ago, and have had it ever since. Sometimes I have bangs, sometimes not, and sometimes I go up a few guard sizes, but I usually use a #1 as well. I've recently started playing with bleaching products from Sally as well, cause even at two uses per box, it adds up! You look gorgeous and the look really suits you. :)

so ive shaved my head before and really liked it but I had let peoples perceptions affect me so I ended upfeeling very insecure and defensive. so it grew out but I had always missed it. so I did again months later, it was not received well by my parents and they thought something was wrong with me I felt terrible, so insecure, I tried to explain that I wanted to try it out again. but still I felt TERRIBLE but after support from m boyfriend, a few friends and even strangers abd I feel a little better. then I came across your video and it makes feel better. Just last night I cut my hair, buzzed it all off, and then lastly had my Husband shave my head. He was supportive and doesn't love it or anything but he's very intrigued by it. He does love that I stuck by my decision and that I am owning the style happily. I feel so free and actually very sexy somehow. I did not cry and my three year old daughter was supportive. She kept repeatedly saying in an excited way "Mommy's head is pretty" the whole time I was removing my hair and when my Husband was shaving my head. Then she kissed my bald head and gave me a high five lol. She knows hair gtows back, that hair does not define our beauty, and that there is beauty inside us all that makes us who we are. I think it was a great experience for her and I want her to grow up with a role model who doesn't let her fears stop her from being herself. I will then be able to be there for her in hers. I did this to my head because I have a not serious scalp issue but enough to be painful and to start new growth hair. I also valued my hair way too much and wanted to conquer my fear of thinking I couldn't rock that look. I also really wanted to see my head shape. I could've grown old and died and never would have seen myself bald and I couldn't accept that lol. I'm not ill I had a choice and I am so glad this is becoming not so much of a big deal now so people who can't choose to keep their hair can feel like they don't stand out so much.

I purchased a set of Wahl's to maintain my cut. I think I am going to purchase a set of trimmers too. Both of these I had in the past, but somehow let them get away from me.

I use a 3 guard all over my head but I leav some side bangs just in the very front!!!! I than bleach it using 1 scoop bleach to 2 scoops 40 developer for 40mins than I tone it using T18 n 0 volume developer 4 20mins I hav super white hair w no brass Than I dye my bangs whatever color I’m feeling at the time Blue, Pink, Purple, etc I’m 37 n I love my hair it’s the only part of me I feel really good about so I want to really express myself through it!!!!!!

I lost two sisters to breast cancer. Loosing my last sister tore me down it happened so fast she never went into remission she fought so hard for two years. I miss her so much. Scarring alopecia has been a battle for multiple years for me and I have finally made the decision for my long-term hair stylist to donate what hair I have and to shave it all off next Tuesday. I originally was going to get my hair trimmed and a keratin treatment. I've changed it up with her and already talked to her. I am ready to show my scars from multiple surgeries and not be sad about alopecia and all my hair loss. Very few know and my Mom doesn't. It will be a surprise next Tuesday for her. Lol! What to use for better hair growth??

I shaved my head because I'm about to have some stuff removed from my scalp and they're gonna shave those parts anyway so I might as well have it grow back at the same time. I'm kind of considering keeping the look but the upkeep is insane - to make it look even halfway decent, I'd have to shave my head pretty much every second day, if not every day. I'll just stick with my crew cut :(
