All Endings: Holy Roman Empire

Holy Roman Empire, throughout its long history, was undoubtedly one of the most powerful states of Europe during the Middle Ages, before its inability to centralise caused it to gradually turn into a disorganised association of various German states with their own religion, politics and goals. And as the history books tell, this once-great empire was eventually dissolved in 1806 after the defeat of Austria against Napoleonic France. But what if its fate was different? What if Emperor Henry VI reformed the HRE into a hereditary monarchy? What if the Peasants' War ended with a widespread uprising against the Empire? What if France formed its own HRE? Those and many other alternate-history scenarios will be discussed in this video!

Amazing. Just amazing. I really can't decide which ending do I like the best. I especially liked your choice of music for the introduction, the Good and Ultimate Good ending. You can feel the sadness of it. When I listened to it, I imagined an old person having nostagia (or regret) for their long-lost youth and wonders...what if things had ended differently?

The Three Empire ending: Byzantine didn't fall, Papal State proclaimed new Roman empire after uniting Italian peninsula and Croatia. HRE under control of Habsburg.

It's really quite confusing, the HRE was quite functional and stable for its time. It's just that people are used to ultracentralized states like England and France and are therefore not able to see that decentralization doesn't necessitate chaos or dysfunctionality.

Suggestion: Latin empire - What if Dandollo accepted the crown of the Latin Empire. OTL he was offered it but declined taking 3/8 of the empire instead.

Although it can be debated whether or not this ending could be in third iteration of German endings or second version of HRE's, here it is: Mongol (or Tartar) ending: Thrashing European armies, Mongols subjigated most of former HRE states, turning them in tributaries under Zagalmai Khaganate. Country: Zagalmai Khaganate - directly controls plains parts of Hungary and Lower Austria + many tributaries organised in same style as Russian principalities at the times of Tatar Yoke.

This Video makes me happy. My people the swabians and their Imperial dynasty of the Hohenstaufen where basically the people of the Empire for a Lack of a better therm. Saxons had a golden age in the old north and ultimately founded anglo-saxia in England. Bavaria had its golden times during its many huge phases as a kingdom. The Francs with charlemange. But the HRE, that was my peoples golden age. The Hohenstaufen made it to the titan it was, and the Grandduchy of swabia was its financially and culturally richest Region. The Empire was defined by south german culture and great houses. But with its Fall under Habsburg mismanagement the ausrians and the horrible slaughter of our great dynasty under the french anjou house the Empire fell. And with it my people. Theres a reason why there would never be a united swabia ever again after its Fall. And every time someone on the Internet makes the stupid "not holy Roman or Empire", "basically germany" or "just a confederation of german states" hes directly ignoring and insulting the achievments of my people. My peoples great Zenit. Its like people saying the ottomans where always a sick man of europe and achived nothing. Its like saying the PLCs only achievment was getting split by prussia russia and Austria. Its just insulting. So im thankfull that this video was able to make cool ending and funny endings without insulting our legacy in any disrespectfull way. Also as a fun fact after all the rambeling the Bauernkrieg was also originating in swabia.

@@BazukinBelyugovichThey often skip the HRE, mostly in the 5-6th class you are talking about Stone Age and Roman Empire, than it the 7-8th class you are talking about mid ages and there they mostly skip the HRE and explain only the end of the mid ages and beginning of the colonialism. And then we talk about the world wars and napoleon

@@HusaviProductions I’m not German by any means, but maybe it’s to avoid particularisme, as it was the greatest threat to German unity ? I don’t know, since Germany is a federal republic, it may also depend on the states.

@@HusaviProductions Idk maybe because in Germany we are mostly talking about the 2 world wars and than there isn’t so much time to talk about other parts of history. But I am only in 10th class so maybe we will talk about the HRE in the coming classes. Maybe if you choose History as „Leistungskurs“, than you will talk about the HRE. And maybe because of the religion, Christianity is still Import in Germany and in the 30 years war, there was a big religious conflict.

Husavi, video`s good, but please, abandon new style or correct it - i always paused Your videos to calmly read text of ending but now, when You use all pixels to the last, pausing of video makes ending description mixed with KZfaq interface and the text becomes barely seen and this is awful expirience. Idea of reading in 10 seconds is not good too. Hope You will see it.

It's funny Because a lot of Italians (expecially in the South) like my self have a good opinion on the HRE, expecially the Fascists like Pino Rauti, Freda and others (no fascist It's not a Joke neither an Insult, they were part of the Ordine Nuovo, a Neo-Fascist group in the 70s)

HRE was an interesting project, but badly executed. The Habsburgs focused too much on their domain, plus religious division and too much German-centricity. It is a pity, because the history of Europe could have turned out differently.
