It actually started ages ago! I think it was around 2013 and it was blessed by terry patcher himself! (Before he passes in 2015) and it’s still being worked on today! You can get clips from the workshop on their website! I wish they could release the full thing lol

Love to see more people finding out about the musical! I got to see both development showings and let me tell you - it is so so good. The creators are all super lovely too and I'm lucky enough to have my two programs from it signed! A few fun facts - the more recent showing had 27 songs listed in the program. My personal favourites are "All Living Things" and "I don't want to go to heaven" (And Crowley's reprise of that same song later on), but honestly a lot of them are so good that I get them stuck in my head all the time. The person who played the delivery guy/Metatron had me in STITCHES - was so so funny. The Aziraphale was the same between both showings, but the Crowley was different - and each brought their own interpretations of the character which was great. I distinctly remember for the first time I saw it they had Queen songs playing while we waited for it to start, and I just remember thinking "Ah. They get it"

To be fair, in the book we only get that his hair's 'dark' and in the graphic novel and on several book covers it's black or dark brown (in one version he's got a fancy white streak)

We would SO LOVE to release the whole thing but we promised Neil and Terry’s manager Rob we’d keep it at the teaser level until it tours. We’ve had a blast developing it and hope to be finished soon. Until then… 😎

@@jameshare3861I hope it gets available somewhere later, to make it available for people in countries you won't tour, like most probably mine (Poland). I would say there is probably a sizeable audience here for Terry Pratchett at least due to excellent translations of his works, which I believe could mean there are fans of Good Omens as well, including plenty of now-English-speaking ones.

Unfortunately there is no full version but there is more stuff on their website! You can get the sizzle reel (which is a compilation of moments) and anathemas song “the perfect place” on the website and someone’s uploaded aziraphales and crowleys song “all living things” here on KZfaq!

I have answers to some of your questions! It was sanctioned by Neil (and Terry from memory) as the trio who worked on it approached them quite a while ago about the possibility of making the musical. They briefly talked about it in an interview and also at the development screenings. It so far has had two showings (possibly a third earlier on that I missed) that were advertised as "in development" as that is where it still is currently - I got to see both screenings in person. From what I know, the creators filmed it to show Neil, hence why there are also videos of segments of it, but there is no way to watch the full thing. :) As someone who HAS seen the entire thing twice, I have to say that I absolutely love the musical with my whole heart

Why does Crowley have gray hair and look so old? Why does he show up at Agnes Nutter's execution scene? This looks like less like a homage to the source material and more like they're trying to improve on it, which isn't very respectful.

I think it’s just the actor and they show up at the Agnes nutter witch burning because it’s the first scene, the creators wanted to show the main characters right away. And they had been conversing with terry Pratchet and Neil the entire time they were making this. After filing for season 1 ended they showed the entire thing to neil and he loved it.

Okay? I personally really like the music. And musicals are meant to be very rhymy to get stuck in your head and I’ve been singing songs from this for about a week now so I think it worked.
