Dr Doofenschmirtz is a good dad

Despite the harsh treatment he receives from his parents. This guy still chooses to become good person, a good dad.

Doof's only real friend is Perry. That's probably the reason why he's always making Inators, so that Perry keeps coming over to visit. That's really sad.

Despite all the abuse and dissapointment by his father and absolutely has no fatherhood by his own father, He is such a wonderful and a great dad for vanessa.

When you start to put Doof's backstory piece by piece, you'll realize that he isn't worthy of being called the "bad guy". He just became or mistakenly thought as one cuz of the actions he's putting up but on the inside, he was severely bleeding. He just wanted familial love and attention to which he didn't have, which explains how protective he is with Vanessa. Giving her all the love, support and attention he never experienced in his life. Poor Doof😢💔

Doofenschmirtz wanted to give his daughter the love he never got. That’s what makes him a good father.

My theory: Linda was aware of Dr's plan to rule the world and she is aware of the inventions and she also knows that if anyone can stop Dr that would be her kids. So she ignores Candace's efforts and in the end when the danger is gone she acknowledged Candace's attempt to give her a long due closure.

This is why I love Dooffenschmirtz. His character is really well. He always made evil inventions to get revenge on the ones who gave him a bad life. It’s so sad seeing his backstory. I really love this character.

The closest I think we got mention of Linda and Lawrence’s previous partners was near the end of the Star Wars special and at that it was pretty much a throwaway.

As much as Dr. Doofenshmirtz is evil and funny, he’s above all tragic since he never had a good life. I actually find his backstories very relatable in my life too.

Doofenschmirzt has a backstory that makes characters with bad backstorys from other shows look like blessed childs. And he still tried to be an good father. This mans hearth must be greater than the most protagonists i have seen! And Roger definitly does not deserve to be the president. He treated Hainz so badly and still was extremly spoiled, its unbelievable!

This is why people need to fact check their scripts. Isabella had a crush on Phineas during the show, his crush developed later. Candace wasn’t “on again off again” with Jeremy. She had a major crush on him at the start of the summer and they eventually started dating. Vanessa was in fact 16 years old as she was in the high school class her dad started teaching.

I loved this show so much as a child of divorce I have had several step siblings and this show did a great job of showing a good relationship between children of different parents

The show's creator Dan Povenmire confirmed that the reason Ferb has green hair and Lawrence doesn't is because it's a gene in the Fletcher family that skips a generation, stating that Reginald Fletcher had green hair when he was younger (Ferb is a only Fletcher family member to have unnatural hair color).

Best show ever !! Back then as a high school kid , after school, used to come home and watch this on tv! I used to love science and this show some how got my full interest! ❤ Now , as a doctor , as I stumbled upto this video, i hv tears in my eyes!

something interesting to note is that in some countries (for instance my own the netherlands) ferb doesnt have a single line in the entire series, maybe done on purpose since the problem defenitely wasnt a shortage of voice actors in the netherlands

Dr Doofenshmirtz was not the real villains were his parents who didn't even consider him as his son despite these difficulties he still managed to became a good father

this is why i never hated dr doofenschmirtz, sure, he had some annoying moments, but he’s a well rounded character with a reasonable background story his rivalry turned friendship with perry made it all the better

Think about it, Doof said ‘and I never saw her again’ in the same episode we saw him dating her. So taking that into account and assuming he was not lying, (which doesn’t seem like a Doof characteristic or trait) we can tell that No, Phineas is not the son of Doof. I do have to agree with your ideology of the ex spouses being dead, it seems like the most plausible scenario in this situation...

Weird theories; I once theorized that Candace was a human being tortured or played mischief on by faes cause look at the fire side girls, if the fact that Isabella likes Phineas is anything to go through, well, plus Isabella isn't exactly attached to her mother, she likes her for sure but is so independent. If that is the case the Doof is like one of the changelings or.... the ones that get switched out by the changelings and just Candace and doof are normal.... or Candace and her family plus doof. Of course that doesn't account for the steel, but... lens, they are torturing humans so it has to look humany... in fact, the fact that Phineas and Ferbs are both illegal members of government is a w fulfillment for them Also, the taking zebra? in beard episode.... time travel, and moving mountains wow and doing something to keep entertained seems to be the moto of the family, while linda does normal and un impressive entertainment, when they leave the side of normal then finally do they get aware of the inventions and only then other theory is that Candace was the child of D o o f's senator of a brother who got divorced I think. She does have the facial features of Roof's brother when he was a kid and it also explains why Phineas has had such a swift time without anyone trying to depose, especially if D o o f's brother is corrupt but is just unable to get full corruptness because of D o o f's actions shedding light... I know what you say but I really do think d o o f has something when he says things along the lines of "he's just tricking them" which he said a lot near the beginning ..... also explains why v was so easy to not detest her father's obsessive "shed light/defame his brother thing" if she just thought he was making a show about having moral standards and just getting mad at doof doing evil because "that is sooooo hypocritical" other theory was that Candace was given meds and stuff and Jeremy was a psychiatrist which she fancied which would explain her profession in the future and the deviousness of his cousin- not strong other theory was that Candace was taken as crazy by her mother because her mother wanted some alone time... think about what the stepfather said in th alien song... the fact that he isn't that always around while linda is every day leaving the house, that they barely try to spend time outside with the boys as in ever, the fact that Candace has admitted it has been her job to protect the boys neglectful parents of different range and no one can say anything because the kids are actually well fed , as in pass through the kitchen and then left. alone.

Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz is also in the Milo Murphy's law cartoon where he becomes known as Professor Time and invents time travel, and he does make some crazy inators .

Doof wasnt really potrayed as the bad guy in the show, it focuses more on his tragic backstory and overcomplicated plans, as a joke character to add more to the show. But as the series goes on(and into the movies), we see his real story start to unfold and we greater see the layers of his character and a development, showing his true compassion, almost as if he feels like he had no choice but to make his inators.

theory on the whole linda thing is that she wants candice to keep an eye on them you know like the quote "if your gonna eat something new bring a friend" she knows candice more than likely as a teen won't be interested in what her brothers do but the challenge to "expose" them means there's allways a supervised eye on them and if something truely catastrophic happens she can let linda know.

After coming to know Doofenshirmtz tragic backstory, like being a victim of favouritism in sibling rivalry, getting bullied, tortured, getting abandoned MULTIPLE TIMES BY EVERYONE and still being the most GOOD HEARTED FATHER FOR HIS DAUGHTER and NEVER GIVING UP ON HIS DAUGHTER EVEN AFTER SHE JUST STRAIGHT UP IGNORED HIM and also turning his life around and becoming a literal agent in OCWA, I’ve now started to think that villains everywhere who become villains out of revenge(especially in MCU)are just spoilt kids 💀 i know this statement will be VERY CONTROVERSIAL but this is what I’ve now begin thinking.

And you mention that she saw a photo of phienes and ferb young version and after candece brought them actually she thought they are some other same looking kids so it is possible when candence sends her photo she thought the same at that time
