@Eddie Austin There appears a contradiction to me in your comment please clarify. 1- If the first three generations are the best (no doubt). But according to the "Salafis" Albani had to recorrect 1400 years of scholarship and now tell us whats saheeh? As the grading at the end of your comment. 2-You quoted Tirmithi (no doubt is an authority to me) who came after Ahmad, Abu Hanifa, Shafii etc. So it appears your using the first three generations to refute the first three generations (By saying go directly to hadith and bypass the three generations)? Please explain yourself. As for me, the mathabs are the highest scholarly authorities who the hadith scholars (Bukhari, Muslim) themselves followed. My position has no inherent contradictions as opposed to yours.

@@Lifeistransitory1 Albani didn't not correct 1400 generations of scholars? Nobody ever said that? He is one of the hadith scholars and non of them are perfect.

@@AlbaMBBT You didn't answer my questions. Why do we need Albani to tell us if a hadith is authentic, hassan, daef etc? Isn't the classification of the real salaf enough? So yes, you guys have taken him as a mathab who is correcting the previous opinions, and hadith classifications and this effects fiqh (jurisprudence). This is my challenge to you: Who has higher authority the hadith scholars in the first three generations or Albani? Return to reality brother all the greatest scholars followed the fiqh of the first three generations. 21st century ''salafis' are reinterpreting the deen which is the biggest bida and insult to Islam. I used to be a 21st century "salafi" because of my ignorance. Then one hadith changed my life. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, “I enjoin you to follow my companions, then those after them and those after them" Whoever follows a fiqh other then the 3 generations is disobeying this hadith. END OF STORY. I believe Albani is a great scholar but not great enough to take him over Shafii, Ahmad, etc etc
