This is my commentated walkthrough to acquire all Alone In The Dark Trophies & Achievements in 3 except for the 8 hours playtime which you can idle for.

I'm going for the platinum now, and my God this game made me feel like I was losing my mind. It was so buggy that it kept repeating objectives and dialogue throughout my first playthrough. I literally didn't know if the game was intentionally messing with me or if it was just bugged out. I've never had an experience where a game made me think I was losing my mind. I live streamed it all, so it's actually recorded history now.

Opti I interacted with the noose and the achievement didn't pop any clues to why not also when I'm don't with the talisman in the attic my seen just goes black stays that way ffs

It sounds like a bug mate, perhaps try doing it later as the other character. If it still dont trigger then, sounds like you may need to delete save and install game again ;(

Just played through this on Xbox great game some of the cheevos are glitchy keep lots of saves especially at the start of chapter 2 and 4

Nearly done this game already but any advice on the teetotaller achievement. Done the game 3 seperate times without using the flask and only reloading manual saves if i take damage and its still yet to pop, only one i need

Is the game updated? If having serious problems, I would delete your whole save and then do it without ever healing

@@Optinooby yeah operating on most recent version. I dont that yesterday, and deleted all saves and done it with emily and still no luck. Becoming annoying as im done with the game as soon as it pops and can get back to the tomb raider grind ha

@@Optinooby finally got it, deleted all saves and lagniappes for the 2nd time and done an emily run and just got it 😎. Games done now thankfully, was a decent game though tbh, pretty fun

Beaten the game trice this weekend, 2 times for Edward, one time for Emily, second time for Edward aimed at getting alternative ending, mopping up chatterbox and getting Teetotaller, and teetotaller didn't show up, neither after joining the cult, not after beating the last boss, what a bummer. I hope they'll fix the issues soon.

I'm not getting a prompt in the walk-in closet at 1:30:02 to use the paint thinner on the portrait. In fact, there is no portrait there at all. I have the correct lagniapp set (I've been following your guide). It's possible this is also glitched as of the latest patch.

@@Optinooby The ending didn't trigger so I'm assuming it's also glitched. I played the game on the most recent patch. I also didn't get "Nobody knows what happened" even though I have the lagniapp set (again, been following your guide).

At 2:51:07 there was no prompt to give an offering to the whispering tree, meaning "One of a thousand young" trophy is also glitched (I have the full lagniappes set since I've been following you). Seems like all trophies that require you to have completed a lagniappes set as part of requirements are glitched in the most recent patch.

Bruh most of these enemies are showing up in my game and I can't shimmy through that crack in chapter 2 after the celler puzzle then I reloading cause I created a manual and now there's nothing I can do and I can't even get back to the cemetery

if you die and reload your save does it count against you getting the teetaller trophy

It should be ok as long as you dont heal, I had died and taken damage, just never healed

I don't know if it fix it. But, if you accidentally use your flask and take health, you immediately lose the trophy. Because, even if you load previous save, the game already know you use it. So. You need to start the game from the beginning. Unless, if it not a thing anymore.

@@Optinooby Should be. But yes. Believe me or not. I try so may play throughs speed run basically and i use both methods. Auto save and Manual save and was not working. At the end, i was always in full HP so even if you accidentally press the UP dpad you can't use it. And finally i got it with the girl. 🤦

Trophy for interacting with the noose not popping for me. Tried it on both characters runs. I’m watching the cutscene but the trophy doesn’t pop after. Going to delete my save, reinstall the game offline and replay offline on original patch. Will report back in case others are having this issue

@@Optinooby Tried skipping it and watching it with both characters, made a save right before to test things. I think the latest patch is causing issues with this trophy. That’s what I’m hoping anyway 🤞

@@Optinooby Playing unpatched, got all the way to the attic and the game crashes whenever you try to watch or skip cutscene everytime. I hate this game!

I wish I could help more, but with it not working now as of the new patch, all we can do is keep trying or just wait i guess it to be fixed. Maybe it works on 1.00?? Thing is this dev team has just let some staff go i think, so patches may become slow to release. I feel like this game has way underperformed, and its not easy to see why

@@Optinooby no it’s not a new game but it’s souls like i just platinum it today but im prrety sure you’re gonna be so good and it’ll be easy for you all quests you can do in 1 hour and 15 minutes / and clean up take you like 30 minutes so you just need 1 trophy now you have to play second run beat the boss hard difficulty it called children of sissna : sorry if my english is not good enough

I guess there is the unfortunate side effect of doing a guide for a game too early. The platinum is no longer attainable since the latest patch and there's been no communication from the devs 😮‍💨

I actually hadnt done this too early, it was a few weeks after release and there was a few glitches that had been patched by then. Didnt think they would add new glitches afterwards xD
