I work and spend much of my free time outside. I've had the Amazfit Bip for a few years and absolutely loved the reflective screen. Anytime looked at my watch the screen image was bright and extremely visible in direct sunlight. So upgrading to the Stratos 3 was a natural progression for me. The Amazfit Bip had an "always on" display as well which made the watch feel like I was wearing something like a casio rather that a sterile, blank dial, smartwatch. For an active person I just wouldn't even consider a smartwatch without that reflective display. On a last note, this was a great review, the best I've seen on YT. So with that being said I would like to credit the creator of this channel being the real influence in deciding to upgrade to the Stratos 3. The HW GT2 looks like a great watch as well but I just love that reflective display and long battery life.

The GT2 has the Show Time feature that keeps the screen on (up to 20 minutes), so you don't have to frequently press the buttons.

gt2 is more stylish but I like the transflective display in stratos which is more like the traditional watch. I hate those aod type dead watches.

the transflective screen is everything I need. I hate dead watch which is basically dead in non-aod mode.

No transflective display no buy. For sport tracker this is the most important factor as you use it most under sun light. Amoled maybe have better contrast and colour but you don't use a watch for browsing or watch movies. Stratos 3 is the way for that important reason.

I like the look of the Stratos 3. I do think the GT2 looks more elegant, but that is part of the reason. I like looking casual, and bigger watches. GT2 is thinner and I HATE the white numbers all around the dial. I had the GT2 but returned it and bought the Stratos 3 for the looks, and the fact it plays much better with iPhone and as silly as it sounds shows emojis.

You didn't talk about GT2 not being compatible with Strava which is very important for fitness watches and for me a deal breaker for GT2 otherwise I agree with most points you made

Another review that miss the main advantage of Stratos 3 VS GT2. Stratos 3 has accurate GPS tracking recording that could be exported and compared to Garmin watches to proof it's accuracy. While GT2 have only internal data representation which prevent analysis of GPS data recordings. Exported GPX format is important for runners and any other outdoor activity. GT2 just has no ability to export GPX data or use existing GPX track. That way, GT2 could not be compared with any sports Garmin watches, just with other regular Smart watches.

I had Stratos 2 for about 6 months and... sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. Sometimes its accurate, sometimes not. Do you want smart watch like that? I dont think Stratos 3 is better. I got my stratos 3 today. A bit disappointed ( because the price) Screen is a choice i give a 8 Plastic is bad ( 6/10) Equipment alomst good (7.5/ 10)no sonor alert)(no bip) Design good but big ( 7.5/10) Light watch( 8 / 10 ) Price is 200 dollar (7/10) I advice all to see the watch directly and before buying online

Don't use metal straps for the watches, the compass will stop working. Did it with Amazfit Bip...

GT 2 for me. And i dont think you mentionned it but since you have a speaker it will tell you when you reach every km or mile, the time it took, pace and your hearth rate( whitout having to look at your watch). I just love that feature...

Huawei's does not accept a chest strap whereas the Stratos 3. This is quite important in case you take training quite seriously.

No Strava sync on GT2 :( This is in 2020 a no-go

The Stratos is actually running a stripped down version of Android. That's why it has emojis - it's already implemented in Android. Whether or not it got all the lastest is anybody's guess. Try bopoting it in ultra mode and see if it has emojis there too. I'm not that concerned by emojies though.

does stratus 3 has a voice coach when you run while you put bt headphones ? like telling you some audio info about your speed and pace etc every certain amount of time ?

The problem I had with the GT2 was that I could not set up Huawei Health app completely because of US restrictions. I could never set my gender or my real weight making the calorie stats useless. Therefore I returned it. What is the work around for this because I really liked the watch?

what about external HR monitor? I think you can connect a external HR with stratos, but not the GT2. Can you confirm that pls? Connecting external HR monitors (e.g. chest HRs) is an advantage for for the gym, where circuit type exercises or weights lifting throw off any optical wrist HR monitor.

After your video I'm so confused. :D Stratos is kinda more nice to me, but I want to wear it, like you said, with costume, casual outfit etc. and then gt2 is more fitting. I can't make a decision now. :D

Hello!!! I would like to ask some pls.. I use a spinning bike for inside cycling. With Stratos 3 is it possible to adjust or to add manually measurements through stratos application,like km or cadence on your workout? Garmin does this and it is pretty useful. Look forward to hear your answer.

I usually do long bike training from 6 to 8 hours in this case which one has more battery life, and on sunny outdors how visible is the gt2 screen. The strava thing is not that I'm very interested because I still have a bryton for that

If I understand it correctly the GT2 AO shows a different screen where as the Stratos is like a traditional LCD based watch of old just in colour? My watch gt2 stopped recieving WhatsApp call notification anymore. I used too get my WhatsApp call directly to my watch gt2. Now suddenly stopped working. However I tried connecting to iPhone it works fine. Only it's not working if I connected to any Android phone. I did all reset options, both on phone and Watch GT2 ..Any idea? How to fix.
