Majkl shows us in this video how to make a Hungarian specialty goulash, made with sauerkraut, and the dish is called Székelykáposzta. What is nice about this recipe is that it is a very simple recipe, ideal for students, and it is very easy to prepare.
Ingredients for 6 portions:
750 g lean pork shoulder or pork ham cut (occasionally I use chicken breast)
1 kg sauerkraut
1 tomato
2 onions
2 bell peppers
150g smoked bacon
2 tablespoons of pork fat for frying
3 tablespoons of ground paprika
1 tablespoon of ground caraway seeds
2 cloves of garlic
2 bay leaves
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 teaspoon of ground pepper
1 tablespoon of sugar (optional in case you find the sauerkraut too sour)
2 tablespoons of sourcream
1 tablespoon of flour
1 round load of bread for serving
