You have to understand. Vault dwellers have been conditioned and socialized in a completely foreign way to the world outside. They have rules and regulations and procedures for everything. The reason the dialogue is so awkward is because SHE IS awkward. She has no idea how to deal with this situation and so is just reiterating a conflict resolution procedure she's memorized while she's up here. The dialogue makes so much sense in this context.

I enjoy that they created a story instead of re-telling one (which almost always goes really poorly for game-to-movie adaptations).

the set, props and costumes do not look good to me. gone are the days of real dirt and grit in movies like a boy and his dog, mad max, six string samurai and steel dawn. everything looks so manufactured like a fallout convention. the small snippet of writing already gives off low quality vibes.

Definitely hated her dialogue, she’s a vault dweller not a robot, like we know what vault dwellers sound like, they’re awkward and not rough around the edges like wastelanders, but she was talking like some kind of poindexter or something.
