Fucking hell, John's origin story and the original origins of the 2s deserve a series of their own alone. THE ONLY way I could accept a tease at what 117 would look like was through the lens of him in his teens. And don't make it pussy shit, show him getting kidnapped and replaced with the dying clone, show the brutal fucking training where they got abandoned in the woods; then show us him finding humanity in blue team, show them learning to work together. It's on a silver platter man, I don't understand how anyone with half a brain misses the mark this hard with Microsoft's money at their back.

One of the main excuses that gets tossed around is "they didn't have the budget for awesome in-armor fights or whole episodes with their faces covered, m'kay?" And I totally get that, it's probably true. But that just means you have to make up for it with a solid character drama that will elevate the moments when we see the Spartans in action. This whole sequence shows that even when we sorta see the Spartans do Spartan-y stuff the writers still can't make it work. I can't wrap my head around someone fully believing they can make an acceptable video game to TV show transfer while flat out ignoring what Halo is at its core.

Don't watch the show, read the books and play the games. The show and the games, books, other shows and movies are 2 different timelines but the show is very bad.

I appreciate the books alot more now.

I like Pablo as the master chief but the writing is so bad. I just don't get it, all you have to show master chief kicking ass and not screw up the cgi and you would have a great show but no.

Lol it's got its issues for sure but it's not that bad if you just come to terms and act like it's, its own timeline/ alternate universe.

Don’t analyze the freaking movie just enjoy it and if you don’t enjoy it don’t watch it, it’s that simple buddy
