35:10 The elementary school I went to had like undeniably lower ceilings. I went back on the day I graduated high school since I still occasionally kept in touch with some of the teachers I had in the neighborhood I lived in, and I was freaked out by how small everything felt. Everything that wasn't the front office and the counselor's room- from the room sizes to door handles to the ceiling height- was built with children in mind which is wild considering the like two hundred adults that have to staff the building
@YipperX5 Жыл бұрын

God cds were a bad idea. I can still remember the original marketing ad for them. A guy putting jam or something on it then wiping it quick an it still working. Seemed awesome at the time, but looking back the amount of times a disc wasnt recognised because of a fingerprint was ridiculous. I suppose anything would have been amazing tho. The games on tapes were torture. It would take 15 mins of screeching to load a game that to call it pixel art would be generous. Oh an at any given point it could crash an u had to start over. For everytime it actually loaded an u could play there would be about 5 crashes on avg. It could basically take u all morning to load the game an it was pointless after school coz by the time u got it working it was dinner bath an bed. Good times, good times. Games never actually loading is probably why kids back then went out more.

56:54 The English don't call the rubbish "garbage", that's reserved for when something isn't very good. You also don't roll the R in Basura, only with a double R, like in Tierra. You still don't do a rhotic R with basura though. Rhotic Rs are regional in England and regional to the US accent and aren't really a thing in other languages either.

It's like the term "Lovecraftian" when inexplicable eldrich horrors begin weaving their way into a plot (both in the metaphorical and in the literal sense). Kafka himself didn't invent the dystopian genre, but he does have a specific flavor within the genre. The dystopias he melds are usually ones in which "everyone is watched" in a creepy and unerving way.
@comradekahn31632 жыл бұрын
@@sloshed-rat excellent summation! I’m familiar with the term but only due to an episode of Joe Pera Talks with you! If you’ve never watched, definitely give it a whirl!
