I learned at an early age never bet anything you can't afford to lose. Everything in life is a gamble. What degree to you get in college, what stocks to invest in, where do you want to live. Everything has a risk. The answer to live is rarely more regulations. If it is a consensual agreement the government should piss off. I would also add it is a poor business model to accept bets from people who can't pay them off if they lose. Collections and public relations end up costing more than what the bet was worth.

Right now, you buy a ticket and if that ticket is a win, you give it back for money. Nobody keeps track on who buys what tickets. Also the point of legalizing gambling is to bring in more money and especially in the USA, nobody gives a fck about people getting in problems. This is about getting to at least 1300$ loss per person from the current 700$, money which will be used to fund the next tax-cut for the super rich. And all because of "FREEEEDOM!!111", so regulation not only are not welcome by those profiting from the law, but also by the gullible idiots who will loose due to it.

@shuizid you should look into the security at casinos. You will be shocked at how much data they save on people. Also it wouldn't be as hard to track money in/out. Simply track the money at the exchange. The main problem is it increases the cost for competition because of the initial tech cost on top of all the other costs. Me personally I lean to freedom. If someone wants to gamble and that is how they enjoy their time I don't see a problem with it. It goes the same with any vice.
