The Queen was above politics and loved people of all nations. She had a role and devoted her whole life to it. Prime Ministers and Presidents come and go, but she met them for decades. She had manners and genuinely cared, but was a mother & grandmother and very human. Think she was strict with following duty as she knew how privileged she was at the same time as restricting it was. Personally, I cannot think of anyone in the world who was admired as much. Thank you for your respectful reaction.

Your comment helps explain why the Queen was held in such high regard. With this position being of birth, the chance of having this position, to be the head of the military, the church, the empire now changed to territories and commonwealth all because of your birth. And yet she had no power and owned so little considering and was still a leader who took her role seriously and with graciousness. And then she topped it off by being like our own mother and grandmother with a bit of fun and finery. We could all use her example of service and benevolent behaviour,

FYI .. The Gun carriage weighed in at 2.5 Tonnes, the Queens casket is solid oak and inside is a sealed lead coffin altogether weighing in around 700 pounds. And was pulled by 140 Royal Naval Sailors. R.I.P Queen Elizabeth II. 😢

The “big puffy thing” is called a bearskin! The flag draped over the coffin is The Royal Standard, the monarchs own flag. It is flown over wherever the monarch is in residence but never at half mast ( as there is always a monarch. The crown orb & sceptre are symbols of her rule…given to her at her coronation, removed & given back just prior to her committal. The flowers were highly symbolic & included a sprig of myrtle from a shrub grown from a sprig in her wedding bouquet. The clip didn’t show the public…that mainly came after the funeral service…they lined the route 10 deep for over 20 miles. She was a most loved Queen.
