There is a lap of Peter brock doing a lap showing the track at speed and he's so relaxed with on the window talking like it's a everyday thing.

These races were factory cars, one of the rules is that you could turn up to the dealership on Monday and buy the same model car that won the race on the weekend. It was a great time for Aus car manufacturers. Thanks for the reaction.

I cannot tell you how much of an icon Brocky Is here, and he earned the nickname Peter Perfect for a reason, he could drive a car he'd never driven before and use 110% of it ( as shown by him in the Torana's winning bathurst by 6 laps!!! ), you can see here him pushing the VN Holden commodore to its limit in qualifying, one of my favourite videos just for the sound alone 👌 keep up the awesome reacts 👌🤙🇦🇺 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/kNSknteGzpOcimw.html

Brockie was and ALWAYS will be the king of the mountain. I read something that said Bathurst is our religion and the mountain is our church. The entire country was left completely devastated when he died but he died doing what he loved 😢😢 He was my all time racing hero.

@@gusdrivinginaustralia6168 There's a lot to take into consideration before you can make that statement. Yes Seton had good car control, but the skyline was very forgiving in those conditions compared to the commodore. The skyline was way more nimble than the commodore. If you over corrected in the skyline it was easier to save. It was a lot lighter so that helped with car control. The commodore was a beast with more pony's and way more torque which meant that you had to be a ballerina with the pedals and if you over corrected in the wet you could expect a tank slapper. The skyline could make better use of it's suspension and brakes in the wet even if it had been set up as a dry race car. I think both drivers were phenomenal on the day, but I think the commodore would have been harder to drive on slicks in the wet.

Heya Mate. I know u luvin tha Mountain..........Who doesn't? It is the second best track in the world.......(Nurburgring, Bloody Germans, jj Luv ya's).........Anyways.......Have a look at another almost Australian (dig at our lil Island below the mainland, YES it is kinda Australian......LOL), race called "Targa Tasmania" Cancelled this year due too fatality....R.I.P. Very awesome race with classics and new cars on normal roads(not racetrack), through mountains etc.

Craig Lowndes 1st year as Brocks No 2 car team mate was also a wet Bathurst , and Craig trying to pass the winner in the wet was much better than this video...... Lap after lap of Craig behind doing everything to pass and the car in front doing everything to block him..... often both cars either sideways or squirrelling in unison. lol

Worked all day then had three football practices to bounce around to and a PT appt for my oldest. By the time I started recording I was half way through and realized I was still on work like clothes. Decided to see it through and recorded another longer episode for the Hey Look Squirrel channel the same way lol

I still think that the Texico Sierra's won the race. At the end of the day, they were laps ahead of the rest of the field.

They were disqualified for breaching the rules, technically they shouldnt of started the race

@@noelwebb6843 Vehicles have passed scrutineering before a race only to fail post race scrutineering, this is not new and shows how rushed the pre-race scrutineers are. This was a case of non-V8 being so dominate that officials were looking for any excuse to pacify the crowd.
