It's your man, Jeff Thornton, and I'm ready to take you on a journey through my life!
I was born on Holloman Air Force Base, NM, and raised in the beautiful city of Alamogordo, NM.
Growing up as the youngest of six kids, you'd think I'd have it easy, right?
WRONG.
My siblings were always keeping me on my toes, and I wouldn't have had it any other way.
Family has always been my number one priority, and I owe that to my parents, Captain Robert and Dina Thornton, for instilling those values in me from a young age.
Now, let's talk about my love for sports.
From football to hockey, I've always been a natural athlete.
I was even the “Team Captain” for my high school football team, which I'm still proud of to this day.
But let's be real, sports are great and all, but nothing compares to the rush of being transported to a whole new world through video games.
When I was three years old, my sisters and I decided to be helpful and clean our brothers' Nintendo console.
Sounds like a good idea, right
Well, we used WATER.
Needless to say, we destroyed the whole thing.
But that moment taught me something invaluable - gaming is more than just playing a game, it's about bonding with your loved ones over a shared experience.
Video games have been a constant throughout my life, bringing my family together and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
And that's why I'm still a gamer to this day.
It's not just about playing a character in a digital world, it's about the relationships and the community that gaming creates.
So, to all the gamers out there, let's embrace our inner nerd and never let go of that youthful spirit that makes us who we are.

I can’t get enough of these rugby videos and yes rugby is a very action forward, lots of movement game but there’s so many in between moments you won’t really see watching just running and try’s for example the referee styles in rugby. I would suggest checking out a ref called Nigel Owens in the same Andrew Fordes channel. He was one of the few loved refs in the game (now retired) to the point where he was even trusted to ref his own county’s games (refs a picked by world rugby during world cups so there’s no bias in games). They truly don’t make them like Nigel anymore. I say this just so you can get an idea of the referee style and how different it is from basketball or the nfl. The refs play such a big role during the game and not just blowing a whistle and making call and is one of the most respected person on the field (purely on how a referee is treated on the field compared to other sports). And Nigel was a no bs referee for sure but that’s why he was so loved by all

So it seems like most of these vids you have been watching are running focused. You should check out kicking compilations too. A couple individual ones I really like are below. Frans Steyn’s monster drop goal is such a good one. Manie Libbok’s no look cross field from the RWC 2023 was great.

Nigel Owens is Welsh and is also a farmer. Please also check out the Referee Wayne Barnes who is English and a former Barrister. They were the BEST two referees in the World. The foundation origins of American Football is based directly Rugby Union Football. 🏉

Our Scrummage (aka Scrum) made up of two opposing sets of eight players became your line of Scrimmage. Y The Scrum Half (9) is the first of two Half backs. The second (10) is called the Fly - half (or Outside Half). (9) puts the rugby ball into the Scrum at restarts. The scrum front row (1)Prop, (2) Hooker, (3) Prop bind against their opponents front row and contest when the (9) puts the ball in. (4) & (5) are "Locks" in the second row they bind the Scrum together. (6) (7) are "Flankers" and together with the "no8" they push the Scrum forward. The (9) is the first half back = your QB. The Rugby backs include (9) & (10) PLUS: (11) left wing (wide receiver) (12) Inside Centre (running back) (13) Outside Centre (running back) (14) right wing (wide receiver) (15) Full Back 9 - 15 are the main attacking ball players. ALL players have to be able to attack AND defend. Also 8 replacements are on the bench.

WGN = Wellington. - The player was Christian Cullen. He is a player you want to look at for running. The most graceful, freakishly strong player ever. He could bench 2.5x his own bodyweight

You need to look up Perry Baker and Carlin Isle, both players from the USA. No doubt the fastest players in rugby. Perry Baker runs beautifully.

if you ever want to watch a rugby highlight reel of a player, Brian O'driscoll was Irelands greatest center and one of the best to ever play the sport. Should check him out. He was the player on the lions who had the ball and picked the player up

Can you review the video “11 rugby players that would be NFL beast” by die hard rugby please. I reckon you’d really enjoy that as you’ve gotten more into rugby and have been reviewing Rees-Zammits journey. Also have a look at some NRL foot work. Rugby league is slightly different but huge hits and mega footwork. There’s also only 13 guys on the field so more room to run. Shaun Johnson and others are crazzzyyy!! Love the videos

North actually messed himself up with that carry move. Theres a reason none of the clips of that move show the aftermath. As they fell, he was trapped in a headlock, and was basically piledrived into the ground. I cant remember, but i think the medics were called in.

So much debate over this tackle - Koroibete doesn’t look like he’s wrapping, although hard to see from this angle what his left arm is doing, and he’s not ensuring the safety of the tackled player as he causes him to come down head first (which even if unintended is classed as foul play according to the laws of rugby) - that being said there is definite mitigation in that Mapimpi looked to dive as he was tackled so was already lifting his own feet off the ground at the impact, so put himself in a more dangerous position too (which would then be foul play on his behalf to jump to avoid a tackle). Either way you can definitely see Koroibete (Aussie winger) has a history in league before switching codes - he tackles like a rugby leaguer!

This is the biggest load of bs. South Africans are so whiney. It was legal, because he wrapped his arms. The reason he couldn't hold on was because the saffer leaped into the air. It was ruled as a legal hit, because IT WAS ONE. The law is clear, the player mus make an attempt to grasp. That's it. Korebeite tried to grab him, his arm comes around. If the saffer hadn't jumped into the air, he would have wrapped his arms. South Africans are ridiculous about rugby. Always seeing injustices where there are none.
