It'll be 6 years ago this summer since I was kidnapped. A former friend of mine lured me to her boyfriend's apartment and wouldn't let me leave. They kept me there for a little over 2 months and tortured me physically and mentally. I was beaten, whipped, burned, sexually assaulted, forced to do dehumanizing acts and denied basic human necessities. (water, use of the bathroom, clean clothes ect.) I didn't get away until the landlord of my ex friend's boyfriend learned I had been there for a while and told them that he wanted me out. He didn't know what was really going on at the time, but him telling them that is what ended up saying my life.

I remember getting groomed over the internet when I was a kid, from about 8 to 17. I think the 2 things that stopped it from ever escalating beyond online stuff was that the online spaces I was in had a lot of sex workers, who would often find me and other kids like us and try to shelter us away from those that were hurting us. gave us a place to "heal" and be kids. the other thing was that my dad was a high ranking colonel in the US military reserves, and when those people learned that I had a decent if not strong relationship with him, they'd immediately lose all interest in talking to me. I got lucky, and I'm happy for it

I was almost kidnapped when I was 18. On Thursday nights 18+ were allowed in the bars for DJ nights til 10 pm or so. This was 16 years ago so can’t remember for sure on the time. Was there with some of my girlfriends and this large man kept watching me and kept trying to dance with me. I turned him down and at one point had to go hide in the women’s bathroom to avoid him. At the end of the night when the bar was kicking out the underage people we were outside talking to a group of people we had met and all of a sudden this guy had grabbed me by the wrist and started dragging me away! Thankfully some of the guys that we had met while we were there saved me before anything bad happened, but the thought of how it could have ended up still haunts me. I never got the names of the guys who helped me but I have always been thankful that they were there that night.

I believe my little sister was almost kidnapped when she was around 2 or 3 years old. I was babysitting her one day and we were hanging out at our garage. The garage was gated and our car was out so I let her wander around the empty space. Then this lady showed up by the gate and was enticing my sister to come closer (the gate wasn't locked, but she thankfully didn't break in). Even though she sounded sweet and friendly, my sister just stayed on her spot, a good 3 feet away and just stared at the stranger. There was a small room in further in the garage where there was a phone and chair, so that's where I was hanging out. But I have full view of my sister and saw the whole thing. But the stranger can't see me from her spot. After I finished what ever it was I was doing in the room, I came out and said 'hello, can I help you?' in friendly way. My family/clan are outgoing and have lived in the same place for generations. But I'm pretty bad at socializing and remembering people, so I thought maybe this stranger was one of our neighbors. That's why I was being nice and didn't find anything suspiscious. But she was startled by my presence, and her response was to smile at me awkwardly and slowly walk away as if nothing happened. My culture is very friendly, and that was not a normal reaction. Yeah. I think she was planning to snatch my little sister.

To be fair, as I've known since I was an undiagnosed child that didn't do this but noticed everybody else did because they always said I did things when I was sat reading or writing, kids don't half lie a lot. So they can easily say someone hurt them, how do you tell they're telling the truth? Kids don't even know they're lying until a certain age, and when they DO know, they will happily easily do it for shiggles. Unless it's just me that's crap at reading tone and vibes and whatever.

This random lady came to my school and said my aunt sent her to come get me. She picked me up like a sack of potatoes and ran off with me. People started chasing her and her associates had messaged my family asking for ransom. Luckily a teacher noticed and called the owner of a store down the road. I haven’t been kidnapped, but I’ve almost been kidnapped. I was around 5 years old at the park. Some other kid that appeared to be 3-4 years older then me comes up. He’s nice enough, so I trust him. He asks if I want candy, and I say yes. He tells me to come to his van (THE MOST OBVIOUS TRICK IN THE BOOK) and me being my 5 year old idiot self runs over. My older brother notices me running, and he calls my name. I tell him that I’m going to get candy, and he explains that I was gonna get kidnapped and explained the concept of kidnapping to me. I’m still grateful that he noticed. I’m absolutely disgusted by the fact that that kid’s parents made him do that and is probably raising him to do it. Story 2 makes me think I was almost kidnapped. In high school, I would walk home early because I had half days every day because BOCES gave me the credits I needed, and a couple of times walking this beautiful woman across the street would try to get me to walk to her for something. I was aware of stranger danger, but it's only applied towards men, and growing up, family members would get pissed off at me if I'm nervous around female strangers, so I would try to go across, but the road had non stop cars coming through, so after 5 minutes, I would just give up. I guess there were a lot of times I could have been kidnapped, I would take rides home from female strangers, but I had a habit of holding onto the door handle, and I wouldn't tell them where I lived, just the street. Honestly, the only time I truly felt like I was in danger was when I noticed across the road there was a fully grown Rottweiler stalking me, it wouldn't cross the road because of the cars, and I knew that running would be a huge mistake, so I just walked faster, hoping the dog would give up. As for how that ended, I had a good distance away from the dog, and I couldn't see it, but I did hear a car beeping it's horn so I had no idea if the dog ran across the street or if it tried, and a car prevented it. Either way, I did not look back, and after 10 minutes of waiting after that, I looked around and did not see it. So I have no idea what happened to the dog, but I'm surprised I was not killed by it. Strangly enough one of my niebors had the same type of dog get loose, and walked up to me, it was surprisingly friendly, and I able to stay calm, and collective,I did not feel afraid, but curious on what it will do, and i walked the dog to the boy trying to get his dog. (The dog was nice but had a bad habit of trying to nibble on my hands. The dog listened to me more than the boy that owned it.)

For me it was attempted kidnapping. When I was in first grade, my parents took me to the Baltimore Aquarium. My parents often took me to the Baltimore Aquarium on weekends due to our closeness to Baltimore, so I was familiar with the layout of the place. I wanted to see the turtles but my parents had to get going for whatever reason. They, dumbly enough, trusted a goddam first grader to go out herself to see the turtles in the jungle floor. My mom came with me for the majority of the way there until we got to the turtles, then she left. While I was looking for the turtles, this woman was looking for her kid that apparently got lost there. So when she saw me, she immediately thought I was her child. Terrified six-year-old me started grabbing the fence for dear life while this woman tugged me away from the turtles. She eventually ripped me off the fence and then when I turned to her she saw my face, and then she told me I was not her child and dropped me. Needless to say I ran as fast as I could back to my mom and stayed by her side for the rest of the day. TLDR; Six-year old goes to the Baltimore Aquarium, parents allow her to go to the turtles herself, nearly gets kidnapped by woman who lost her kid.

I was almost 4 at an outdoor mall in Tennessee doing those western family photos. After that, my aunt and my mom went to shop and my dad said he and my uncle would watch me. (they didnt) and I walked out the store they were in, out to the parking lot to retrieve my "piggy" (toy). A lady picked me up and started walking to the back of the mall, where there was a old old military access road from Nixon era that is no longer on the map and a swamp green ford taurus looking car. The poluce had already closed people off from leaving so my family was frantically running the perimiter. My uncle spotted me, threatened her with a pocket knife and the police arrested both her and her husband. It was a child sex slavery ring. Many kids went missing there due to the military access road no longer being on the map and in 1999 there were no cameras. I think about how lucky I am to not be those kids.

I was kidnapped by a clown girl - twice! So as a toddler I was left in the car with the windows open while my older mom baby sitter went to the dentist to drop off paperwork or something. Anyway while she was in the car was stolen. The girl was wearing a black and white Harlequin clown costume. She drove crazy fast out to no where and left me in the car it was a very hot day but … I knew not to say anything or move the girls was unstable. Later I found out the girls was the 13 year old daughter of my babysitter, the costume was a friend of my moms from school and the girl stole to car to go confront her boyfriend (adult) about her being pregnant. Girl had lots of legal troubles and became a Public defender for youth like her. I’m fine. People don’t believe me because this was before Harley Quinn from Batman cartoons existed- and don’t believe me there is such a thing as a Harlequin style of clown. Eye roll people. (I have photos of the mom daughter clown costume and car like Yeah that happen and I’m fine) Second time couple years later the clown at my birthday party saw my parents fighting decided to take me to get ice cream away from the house (family friend and not weird at all for me to just go without saying anything) anyway she had been in a car accident she was having behavioral issues and she had a psychological break she decided I was hers and she kid napped me took me home etc. her BF very sweet understanding man was like oh okay you have actually kid napped a child and your unstable having physically abusive out bursts Like I can’t Take the kid and walk out she might her herself or us and I can’t leave the kid so he was basically in a hostage negotiation situation. He told me to watch a movie stay in the living room and got her to make me a T shirt it was beautiful had it for years. And yeah the Ambiance came and got her help. He didn’t tell them she took me! So he took me back to my house only he stopped at the cross street and had me walk home I was gone long enough my parents worried cops got involved and I walked home they interviewed me and I explained clown lady was friend friend had brain injuries she took me and kept me and her boyfriend got the doctors to help her and he returned me he Didn’t come over because he thought you might be mad. I knew my family would never be mad Not at Him not at her - never So kidnapped twice by clowns Both times bad situations good people.

Well yeah i got kidnapped once when i was 9 or 8 (I don't really remember) I'm a emotionless kid with no emotions (which i got born with it and I'm used to it and hava a normal life) i was playing on the playground along with my friend when a white hooded man he looked like a 25 or 28 young man he had a a German shepherd which i loved this types of dogs and my idiotic mind though (a doggy i can't wait to pet it!) So i came close to the man and petted his dog and he told that he has more of these dogs on his home a few meters away with no emotions at all when he was holding my hand following him amd the man checked me through my emotions which i couldn't show and he got curious and he asked me if knew what was going on? And then i said "no" with still no emotion. Then the man stopped for a second still holding his hand and i saw him like he was thinking something and i asked (are you okay mister?) And then he let go of my hand with a sad and happy expression and he touched my shoulder and got to his knee and told me things that i didn't really understood at first like "(i can't hurt someone who is like me...") And then i started to understand that he was the same emotionless as me but hurt. And so even though i couldn't show any emotion to him i kinda comforted him that everything is going to be okay and he shouldn't be worried. And then he smiled and told me to go my mom which then helped me found her. She was worried sick and she saw me and the man which gave me back to my mom with no harm at all she hugged me and said "(thank you for finding him i was worried sick were have you been?!) And i said to her (he helped me find you mom) and so along with my friend left and turned my head seeing the man waving at us. The next day i saw him again he was with his family talking to eachother and i saw that he had two twin daughters and a beautiful blonde wife. I asked my mom if we could see him again then she agreed and talked to him and his family he apologized for trying to kidnap me and i forgave him which my family and his until today we are friends with this guy. Today as a 23 year young guy i see him as a part of my family. He changed a lot since that day and he got better over doing this situations (i mean the kidnapping) he got over his problems and now he has a normal life.

A story of how i almost got kidnapped as a child: It was when i was a child, like 6 yrs old from what i can remember, or maybe like a bit younger. My mother was working, and relationships with my father was not in a good state, between both of them also. My father was cheating, and working pretty much all the time, so i saw him like once every few weeks. Because of that, if i was ill, or when i had vacations, i was staying home alone all the time, because my mother wasn't able to stop working to sit with me. One day, i heard a knock to my door, when i was absolutely alone. I don't remember being ill, so i think it was something like summer vacation. I come closer to the door, and ask who is this. I don't remember what the dude had answered, but he had a voice very similar to my grandpa. I ask if it was him, and he said yes, he asked me if i was alone, and after saying yes, he said that he had forgotten the keys, eventually asking me to open the door. I said that i don't have my own keys, so he should wait when my mother will come home, or phone her to ask about it. I don't remember what else he said, but he had left, and i wasn't caring at all, untill my mother came back home, and i told her the story. She got a bit freeked out by the story, because when she phoned my grandpa he said he is not even in the city rn, and working in the village. She called my father, and asked neighbours. Eventually one woman had told my mother that when she was going upstairs, there really was a man right next to my door, and she had never seen him before. He was young, around 25 or smth. The reason i thought that it's my grandpa, is because he doesn't have a deep voice, so that was quite normal for a dude to have a voice like that i think. Both my mother and my father came along to ask me more questions, and discuss the situation with me. Eventually they've come to decision, that we should make a little room before our door, and make the second door to the room, so it's like having a 2x2 meters of space before the actual door, and another entrance to the place. Actually it was one of the best decisions, because i was paranoid since i was kid, and i often heard some noises from the doorway, and felt like someone could do somethings to my door, so i felt safe for the rest of my time living there.

You know, in a depressive episode, i think i ended up confiding too much in a neighbor i shouldn't have. We will call him Bob. He lived in this one corner house just next door that had the darnedest reputation of attracting criminals or nutcases too it. Sure, he seemed like a swell guy, and a sort of friend, which i had only a few of since getting past my teenage years... i found nothing odd at first, but the way he casually asked me some important things, showed me a knife, and even had a hate for law enforcement, all tipped me off to his nature. So, i avoided going over, and one random day, i see the police next door taking him away... i never did find out why, but i'd rather live not knowing what could have happened. In separate event and random event that had happened to an old childhood friend of mine: They [and a couple of their sisters] were mistaken for being kidnapped, but really just somehow stayed past closing time in a church one time, for the duration of a full night. I dunno how, or why, or even remember when, but that happened. Their mother was sure relieved to get them back, but annoyed when they heard the details of the event that led to that!

A little tip if someone grabs you by the wrist, twist your arm towards their thumb. The thumb is the weakest point on the hand. You may be able to break their grip and get away. Ok this one isnt mine but my small sisters she was around 2 and a half at that time. We were in the park, my older cousin was there too. We were playing on the slide seeing who could go the fastest. This lady calls my sister from a higher ledge of the park with a bench. People around my area were kind so i didnt think much of it. Later we needed to go, so i started to walk to where my little sister was (in the lap of the lady) and noticed the lady getting up. She noticed me and immediately sat down again i went to her and asked if i could have my sister back. She tried sweet talk and gave me reasons why my sister should stay a little longer. I managed to trick her into thinking i would play with my sister nearby, i wasnt smart at that time but my thinking skills were above average due to knowledge of the real world at a young age, but this is one of the smartest decisions at that time. I managed to manuever my way closer to my house and, while the lady wasn't looking, ran back to home (with my cousin ofcourse) Note:I was 10, my cousin was 13, the lady looked some where 20 There is another story i would like to share but my phone is about to die so i am giving you the backstory i am 8 in that story and in this one I was the one who almost got kidnapped. He woke me up pretty early when I was at my dads house (parents lost love for eachother dad jad drug issues but stayed clean for me, moved out) around like 7 am when it was dark out (winter) and he took me to the birmingham I think it was by car. We ate some food, walked around and he showed me some history around the places we went. When we got back my father was panicking. He put 2 and 2 together and called his friend who was with me. I got taught hell of a lesson that day, ofcourse I apologized to my father.

So after that 2 man came to me and said "hey Do you live in the 7th floor house? I have candy wanna come?" I did, nt know who was he but i said no. And they keep asking like crazy. At this point they would start screaming. And i started crying so they Quickly left that Day after that i saw my cousin. I came home with him and oh boy my mom was crying she thought she lost me. I never ever told my parents about the 2 men. But next Day at school in play time i saw the exact 2 men...After that idk what happened my mom and sis stop sending me to school for 2 weeks and they were kinda scared.
