As an ex bus driver in Scotland, I had seen this happen often. I just kicked the Karen(s) off the bus.

Story #1 reminds me of an amusing word exchange I had on a bus. Few months ago, there was a woman(not a Karen) that was sitting on a priority 3 seat bench diagonal across from me(I was standing.) Since there were not any priority passengers, no problem. Several stops later, I saw that a blind man was entering the bus and since the woman couldn't see him due to positioning and being on her phone, I decided to give her a heads-up and told her that a blind man was coming. Since she was taking up the seat closest to the door, I figured that the easiest solution would be her shifting further down the bench than having the blind man walk past her. So, I go and inform her that a blind man is coming. The exchange went as follows: Me: A blind man is coming Woman: I'm sorry what? Me: A blind man is coming Woman: I'm Pregnant Me: Congratulations, but he's still blind. As I said this I pointed her towards the approaching blind man(he had just entered her line of sight) Blind man: Yup, I'm still blind. She shifted further down. Blind man sits down. I hop off at the next stop.

I feel bad for the kid in the first story. She was just wanting to ride the bus. She tried to tell her mom that there were seats in the back.

In story 1. I feel so bad for the daughter she did nothing wrong she even tried to help :(

Story 5. Thats a really serious issue. A couple things I would suggest would be 1) couples therapy. Having a professional who understands psychology might be helpful with breaking through this barrier your husband is having, and could act as a mediator 2) telling your husband that you two need to have a serious conversation, or bringing it up at an appropriate time, and preface it by saying that you might cry, but that that's okay, and that apologizing isn't allowed. That way, the conversation can't be ended prematurely and to apologize, the husband needs to actually express an understanding of what the issue is. Ex, "sorry I hurt your feelings," vs "I understand now that by imposing my anxiety onto you, I'm stressing you out and instead need to communicate when I'm anxious as opposed to lashing out"

story 2: Who the hell just walks in front of a moving fork lift, especially with their child? That should be child endangerment and at least cause a mandatory psych eval.

1st story: if the man wasn't clapping I feel like she would've waited for the next stop to get off.

Story 1: Should also mention those seats are for ones with disabilities and remember - not all disabilities are visible.

On that last story with his wife's smaller appetite, I almost wouldn't be surprised if a Doctor could verify she's got a differently built body that can't support the same eating habits as him. It sounds to me, she's literally got a different constitution when it comes to food. I think she should try and verify it medically to show that his concerns are not valid.

Story 3: If the relationship with your partner feels worse than their relationship with a friend, that's not the friendship fault...

Karens: I deserve everything that I want and pregnant people are faking it I will scream at people to get what I want

Story 5: I can see what the husband would think but that is still no excuse for attacking op like that for her eating habits. He has no right to step in and try to control. And on top of that knowing her past yet still being like that is disgusting. If a person trusts you enough to tell you their trauma you should NEVER under ANY circumstances use that against them in any way.

If you're in a relationship where ypu don't feel like you can speak freely with your partner, that's not a healthy relationship. Speaking from experience here.

Story 3 : the girl in this story is being a bit overprotective. If he wants to hangout with his friend alone he can do that, if he gets her a gift for Valentine’s Day that’s fine she shouldn’t be worrying about how he treats his friends with respect because if the roles were swapped and her boyfriend got mad she would get upset at him for getting mad at her for wanting to hang out with her friend

on the story about the eating habbits: it's proven that small potions over the day is way healthier than a few big meals where you feel full after finshing. I for one only eat when I'm really hungry and don't just feel like eating plus I always eat at different times so my body won't get used to fixed times and say "I'm hungry" (really try eating you're meals at different times every day, you'll notice that your body is only gonna be hungry when you really need it).

story 4: That just sounds like a legit psychological problem. Either something happened you're not aware of that could be worked through with short-term therapy, or there's something deeper that you're not aware of because you don't know every bit of her history.

Story 4: sounds like Op’s GF has Bi-Polar disorder, I have a cousin who has it and she goes through the same symptoms.

Story #4: sounds like depression and/or some other mood disorder. If she has also had a bad past relationship, it could also be some form of trauma response. Most abusive relationships start off good before it goes bad. Her subconscious may be causing her to be overly anxious and cautious.

That last story… I think he needs to back off. No one wants a nanny when they asked for a partner. It’s not ‘ruining a meal’ if your dietary habit is eat small bits through out the day. It’s ruining a meal if someone refuses to eat after eating lots of snacks all day.

Story 3: My best friend's ex use to be lowkey homophobic. When we, she and I (a gay man), hung out, it was always shopping and brunch, the gay best friend stuff that was fun, but not my whole personality. My best friend and I would hang out by ourselves watching horror movies, playing video games, studying for exams and he also would get me gifts, mostly novel adaptions of movies and games and plushies. She would get pissed and constantly ask if he was "still straight". Like, girl. He's my brother from another mother and she knows I prefer older men. Yet she thinks I should be the stereotypical GBF instead of the awkward ADHD horror nerd who grew up with my friend. Long story short, he hated her questioning his sexuality for having a gay best friend while she thought I was trying to steal him from her. Like I said, we grew up together and I see him as a little brother. So he broke it off and is now with a chaotic weeb I would die for.

Story 3: Sounds insecure as hell. My bff is a girl of over a decade with a relationship like that and if my wife wasn't able to accept that she wouldn't be with me.

Last story; theres studies showing that eating small (but healthy) meals throughout the day about 6 times a day is much better for you than eating one or two large meals a day

The last story sounded like classic Asperger's. He wanted to make your day great by treating you to the chowder, and I think he's equivocating chowder with having a special day. If you want to preserve that relationship, I think you need to look out for those false connections and try to disrupt them. If you keep challenging those connections in a kind way, in my experience, they'll open their minds and start trying to expand their mental connections themselves.

first story. This is so weird since THE BUS WAS LITTERALLY EMPTY!!

As a disabled person, if those front seats are taken I simply ask nicely if someone not visibly disabled (pregnancy is a temporary disability). If they can’t move and I am using my cane that day I take the next closest seat. I don’t have much choice with my walker or scooter so I’ve missed the bus before since others need the same access I do. No need to act entitled.

Ice cream story: OP, your husband's need to control every crumb you eat is not okay. The fact that you were hit by your parents over not cleaning your plate is not okay. It's inexcusable. (I was hit, and whenever I hear yelling, or the sound of someone hitting someone, I go into a panic attack because deep down there's a girl who was hit, and also bullied every day in school for two years. During my panic attacks, I often feel like I'm going to faint. I had a panic attack in Walmart when I heard a parent screaming at her crying child, then slapped her for crying. The panic attack came. I had to stop, and try to maintain my composure, all while trying to tell myself that I'm safe, I'm okay, that mean woman won't hurt you, it's not about you, this is about her, and her actions speak volumes.) OP and her husband need to go to marriage counseling, and if they can't find a way to resolve this, then divorce should be considered.

Story 4 sounds a lot like depression symptoms, they don't really clarify if bad mood is referring to aggression or depression, but when he said that she is great one day then back to square one sounds a lot like depression, and considered she used to he a single parent from a not so great relationship, it's a really possibility. I'd talk to her about it, but don't be suggestive, and just be slow with it, it takes time to get to know the triggers that will randomly affect her day. edit: I say this as someone with depression, and simply dropping something in the kitchen, or a text left on read for too long (both ways) can make a great day the worst day ever

How she describes it it would be the same as if the friend was a guy or non-binary or if she went to her female friend to get an outside opinion on an ongoing relationship issue. It’s not a red flag to have outside confidants that you can trust to help you work through any issues that aren’t being resolved within a timely manner. It’s actually a red flag that she’s looking to put distance between them when she doesn’t have a reason to be jealous.

She should try and set bounderies with him and if he refuses, to break up with him. He even said he'd go to his friend as a romatic partner if annything goes wrong with his current relationship, and by the implications here, it's like he wants that to happen. He's lying to himself about loving his girlfriend and if he can't change his tune, they're better off breaking up.

Honestly, with the 3rd story, I felt like OP was the third wheel in their(boyfriend and his friend) relationship. And here's why I feel that way: 1: OP said they invite her to hang out with Them SOMETIMES, like, shouldn't he be inviting his friend to hang out with him and OP? not the other way around? 2: He got his girl best friend a Valentines day card and gift but not his gf? If it's celebrating all kinds of love like other people are saying, why wouldn't he get something for his gf too? And if he could only get something for one of them, why did he pick his friend over his gf? 3: OP's bf Talks about his best friend what sounds like 24/7 even when he's spending time with OP. And he puts time with OP on hold to talk to/about his friend. Bottom Line: It's fine to have friends and best friends regardless of gender, but if you're in a committed relationship, you shouldn't be spending MORE time with and/or treating your friends BETTER than your significant other, that's the problem I have with the story, it just sounds like his best friend is more important to him than his gf. I'm not saying he's cheating, has hidden romantic feelings for his best friend, he should end the friendship or anything like that, just that he seems to prioritize his friend over his gf, which isn't ok. OP really needs to communicate with her bf how she is feeling in a calm and respectful way.
