I’d recommend you look up Adam savage with the original batwing. You can look at the exact prop from the movie about 4ft big, and you could possibly do minor paint touches to make it look even better. I think it looks awesome now, but I just saw the original and it’s breathtaking lol

I had this and didn’t work on it at all But I had to sell it Not sure if I regret it but glueing it seemed kinda boring

It's actually a great kit. It looks awesome when it's complete. Not a difficult model to build really. I like that it has so many options on how to build it.

I’ve never worked on any type of model and I’m planning to do my own Batwing. This has been super helpful! Out of curiosity, what glue, clear coat, and flat coat did you use?

Thank you! I used Tamiya model glue. It's in a glass jar/bottle and has a brush attached to the inside of the lid for easy application. Not the thin glue, just the regular version. The gloss coat was by Model Masters and I used Testors Dullcoat for the final coat. I also used Walther's Solvaset for the decals. It makes them stay down flat and conform to uneven surfaces. When you apply it, don't touch it and let it dry naturally. I hope this helps and I hope your Batwing turns out looking fantastic!

@@riaketh1 I used Tamiya Flat Red. The color numbers are on the little bottles and the number for the red is XF-7.

Aside from dupicolor and krylon, does rustoleum work well for models?

I've never actually tried it. I don't use Rustoleum. Last time I used it, it took over a month for that stuff to completely dry. I don't know if it's changed by now but I'll never use it again.

@@wesker919 I've had pretty good luck with Krylon as it dries decently fast. Duplicator is pretty good too. Honestly though, regular model paint has worked the best for me but I just hate how overly expensive it is. But I guess it's designed for models so I guess that's why it works best. A lot of people are moving towards craft acrylics now I noticed. They are way cheaper. I haven't tried them extensively yet. I don't have an airbrush so I haven't used it for those. I think you have to strain it for airbrushes though. I wish there was an affordable paint that's specifically designed for models.
