In this video, I got myself an Ugly Grade lens from KEH. Let's see how the item looked like.
I also explain and share my experience when I used this lens in my professional work and how it did even though the lens is not perfect.

I bought the same lens (without fungus) several years ago. It is a great lens.Still one of the best in my bag. Used with the D5 it is great.

Nice!! Congrats of having a clean one!!😁 yeah man, mine how it currently stands...I'm still using it!! Haha and that tiny spec of fungus didn't grow any bigger which is I'm so glad😁 I just had to make sure my lenses are stored in dry place making sure the moisture are out😁🤙

Having fungus is not nice and devaluates the lens, but I guess this better that nothing

You are correctamundo about that buddy! Fungus IS not nice and really devalues the lens. But knowing the "actual" final output of the image seeing that it doesn't really affect it, is you are getting a hella great deal out of the lens 😉 Currently, I am still using this in my professional gigs and I will def run this lens to the ground hehe However, to anyone out there wonders "when" that fungus really shows up in the image?... It will show up within the bokeh balls against the dark. That is the only caveat.

@@iamphotovideoist thanks for sharing that the lens was working only with the fungus caveat. I had a not so good experience with KEH with a bargain Camera that was physically ok but had a high shutter count

@@joseacarrasm Ah yes, I completely agree with you on that. That is the only downside on them if you buy the "cameras" from Keh. They don't provide the shutter counts despite it being Bargain and above grade. It is not for everyone/customer. They only go by functioning features and by its physical looks. And also that they don't show the actual photos of the product you are buying. It is really kind of a "roll of a dice". There are other places out there like mpb that does so. KEH is only good if you are going in with an already "knowing the risk" mindset. When I buy their stuff... I shop around to try to get the best deals, the shipping, the timing and if its situational. Also based on the pricing, I will have to expect by paying this amount for this equipment... will it mitigate the price if I get the item a lot less than how it was graded? Is it worth it? I had something similar experience where I had the D3 video I uploaded 6months back. Which is an Ugly item and over 300k shutter count and still using it ehehe Now you can actually get that camera at "Bargain" for $350.

That rubber Ring is always coming off.....i live in sunny Barbados.....the heat destroys that rubber.......sad

Yep, their design on this specific lens is notorious on this specific issue. But it can be remedied by an outlandish idea like mine hahah or just always prepare to buy or have a spare rubber rings from Amazon or any nikon dealership available. Just DONT SUPAH GLUE IT!!! 😅
