I really like just how unique this game feels, even today it's the most fresh of the "New" series. I hope Wonder takes some cues from it, like having brand new enemies and bosses.

As someone with a few DS's and this game to this day, I will say that this is one of the best 2D Mario games to this day. From time to time, me and my brother will pick up the DS's and play this game, and specifically the Mario vs Luigi gamemode is the usual go to. Despite coming up on two decades of age, I consider it to be one of the best multiplayer games of all time due to the sheer competitive joy and chaos it brings. Trying to outcompete a rival for stars in a platformer is such a good premise, but the execution is too notch, where you can try and combat them for the stars theyve collected either by jumping on them or using a powerup. The way the maps are built is amazing for all sorts of different stratagies and playstyles, and learning to optimize movement through them to try and one up your opponent is great. Plus, whenever someone gets a starman or mega mushroom, the game gets completley flipped so that one person must outrun the other for a short while. Theres just so much I could say about it, its just amazing.

Seems like this game has a lot more character and personality than I remember. It might be time for a replay in the near future. As for the video at hand, it was a fun watch. Nicely done! Hopefully the increased interest in 2D Mario lately will introduce more people to your channel!
