Luca is right in the lore if you get shot once your dead lol meanwhile we get shot up in actual gameplay and survive

I like to think that grandmaster difficulty is the lore-accurate gameplay

Then there's Cayde's scene in the pre-mission to the forsaken first mission where he jumps down, followed by gunshots and him saying "got you" several times.

guardians are also batshit insane its cofimed in lore that we mapped the cabal comm lines by having dance battles and seeing where it was being reported

@@BlindRubioJameson It's improving drastically but it's still hit or miss. For example, while Season Of The Chosen was amazingly done (both story and gameplay wise), Beyond Light's story was one of, if not the worst in Destiny's history.

@@TheFirstCurse1 Nah, BL was just a short story that, without the raid or Clovis Bray, would be just “Guardians get Ice Space powers and clean up another house of the fallen that uses Ice Space powers” It was OK, pretty basic with the main story line, but pretty cool with all the Exo and Clovis Bray Stuff

I know this is an old comment, but i dont get how. It was very far from earth an its propulsion was used for one movement directed at earth, an would have had to be moving extremely fast too reach earth in the eloted weeks. Blowing it up if anything is a really really bad idea unless you can then hit all the dabris which would be going everywhere an changing velocity slightly due too explosions around it making it impossible too hit. An i know i know video game logic, an "just enjoy the specticul" But i find they could have transmatted engines, hell throw guardians into the thing they can res xD, too slow it down over the 13 weeks making blowing it up, or just... stopping it an getting it into an orbit safer? Its not like wed have the real world problem of landing on it, when we have transmats so it always felt super forced too me. But maybe im missing some reason we couldent do that? who knows the season was not the best so was hard to keep intrest. (Apologies for my dyslexia here even i can see afew issues to edit haha)

@@serenity8839 yeah uh... about guardians getting on it... there was a guardian on it before the event even took place... he uh... his ghost can’t bring him back until a very, very, very... long time... “The lore entry called No Rez for the Weary talks about a Ghost whose Guardian is "lost" to him on the Almighty because he is, I assume, stuck in a stasis trap which he will leave in what the ghost estimates to be 50.000 years.” yikes...

@@balxnced2 Thats a bummer, but shurly once a tranmat bacons on it an tons of guardians can fly in and around the ship (remember we can move near too light speed) Meaning we have so much force ready to deal with the almighty an stop its path it just seemed so weird too leave everything too what would be plan Z out of all plans as it should have failed, rasputing should have turned the almighty into a shotgun blast on the planet, the bit that hit the tower with th e speed it would have been going by all rights should have leveld it. I do assume it was just for the live event (got waiting for them lasers too a million years) but still one of my petty gripes haha

I'm still pissed that they didn't add Bladedancer in with the third subclass tree. Instead we got the twirling block thing, which could've replaced Way of the Wind without anyone caring.

They only have 3 things in common: -both Arc Hunter subclasses -same grenades -both melee based roaming supers Other than that they have totally different playstyles and identities. Bladedancer, if you ever used it (I'm assuming you haven't) was based around Blink Strike, where you'd teleport and melee. It also had Blink. Arcstrider has nothing like that. One of the main builds for Bladedancer was invisibility, which gave you multiple options to go invisible. Arcstrider has nothing like that. Bladedancer also had 3 awesome heavy attacks that you could choose from, and believe it or not they were all helpful one way or another. Arcstrider has nothing like that. Bladedancer's whole vibe was a precision melee specialist who could go invisible and was high on killing power. It was amazing in PVP and extremely valuable in PVE, and it was fun to play in both. Meanwhile Arcstrider has lame melees even though it's entire fucking identity is just melee, and that's it. There's nothing else it specializes in other than melee. It's a one-trick-pony that's lame to both witness and use.

i keep saying they need to bring in space combat. that way wed actually have a reason to grind for new ships, other than cosmetic.

Hitting the city would have required actual astronomic calculation from the cabal, and even just a little change would cause it to miss the city entirely.

Thing about the Vanguard Fleet though is that as far as we know it doesn’t have any large capital ships like the Hive, Fallen and the Awoken do. All we really have is a crap ton of jump ships.

The Trophy Hunter is specifically a modified "Headhunter" standard issue marksmans rifle. That's what makes it Exotic.

He's definitely not a blueberry. Unless that's his skin colour you're referring to. In destiny even the red bars are a lot harder than we see in game, think grandmaster turned to 11 but all the time for everything. And supers don't work in the same way as they do in game, there's no recharge and maximum length its how much stamina you have and how well trained you are with it, the better trained the more often you can use it and for longer and in more powerful ways. He might not have even been using a super, it could have just been an arc fist, light abilities and control over the light is much broader than what we see in game, for example emotes with props are actually made with our light and we could shape or use the light in many different ways, if we were in lore guardians we could make our own supers with enough training and practice.

She's supposed to be pretty powerful herself as well. She was a legend at Twilight Gap.

He's always had both. In zavala's story trailer and lore bits he uses fist of havoc when he can go all on the offensive.

We switch between three subclasses, and two different super per subclass. Zavala can for sure switch subclasses

Everyone can use all elemental subclasses, including potentially using stasis. Ikora, Shaxx, Felwinter, Saint, Osiris and Crow are the most recent characters that are stated to can or shown to switch supers in the lore, and Osiris himself can use like 5 different supers in quick succession lol. Cayde used Blade Barrage very soon after Golden Gun in the Forsaken cutscene, technically different sub-sub classes. And most recently, Zavala banned all guardians from using stasis...which they can, and will lol.

While on Nessus, we do a mission for Asher Mir for (I think) the Almighty's schematics and find out that the ship as tied itself to the sun so that if the ship is destroyed it will take the sun with it so that mission all we do is destroy the actual weapon of the ship, not the ship itself

@@seb5542 Given that you have several months to do it, even a very small accelleration will add up. Remember, those ships are advanced enough to fly between planets in a few hours. So, they are quite powerfull in their own right. And with the Allmighty in free-fall, you can just keep on pulling gently for weeks.

Gunslinger. She uses golden gun a lot. She has a very very powerful golden gun, like craters of light left behind powerful. She's also the reason for us knowing how hot a golden gun can get on the low side, hotter than the sun, though it gets hotter paracausally to fit the situation. And paths don't really exist outside of being a game mechanic.

Wym? This happens like 3 years after the end of D1. If you didn't carry over your guardian in D1 and just created a new character, you'll have just been born at the time of these events. But if you've carried over your guardian from D1, you'll have at least been a 4 year old guardian, but yeah this still happens.

There was a hallway full of legionaries, but he still didn't flinch he took cover though to talk to Ana on his comms without gunfire getting in the way. And even if he did, even though he is a very powerful guardian, the cabal are very scarily strong. Legionaries are well over 800-1500 pound very tall 8'-15' tanks of walking muscle in very heavy armour capable of surviving mother of all bomb type impacts and more just coming from the hydrostatic organogel layer called cabal oil alone, this cabal oil has serval other uses too it's a bit crazy. They also tend to be genetically modified in some ways for superior combat effectiveness like the Ceramonial bathers, though the Ceramonial bathers are also clones of the best warriors in cabal history. Their weaponry is extremely powerful too, their main weapons slug rifles fire a microrocket, these warheads have a duplex explosive that combine an armour piercing penatrator with a flesh shredding shrapnel bus, then there's the projection rifle used to disorientate, destroy, and incapacitate like all cabal weaponry the weapon feeds ballistic data to the projectile the moment the salvo launches from the cabal battle network in order to coordinate the salvo, then there's the heavy slug thrower Which is a mix between an auto cannon and a mini gun almost, it fires microrockets very very quickly destroying even guardian light sheilds quickly and again is linked with the cabal battle network, we've then got the cabal sheilds which are made to the same spec as cabal hull plating making it near indestructible to your normal conventional weapon means, it has sensors that relay information back to the cabal battle network and weilder for better coordination especially against the very difficult to fight teleporting Vex that will otherwise pick you apart, and then there's the upgraded energy version of this that we see used by the red legion, there's also a bunch of other very deadly weapons used by them that we don't know too much about like the bronto cannon and psion headhunter sniper. As for the Psions they are able to use telekinesis (they pulled Phobos out of orbit), psionic blasts, other psychic abilities like manipulating someone's emotions and what they feel (making Saladin feel like he was falling and giving him vertigo), slowing down their own or others bodily functions like heart beat as well as paralysing their enemies by cutting their brain off, showing people memories or fake memories as well as a few other abilities to do with psychic attacks. They aren't to be messed with, they definitely aren't pushovers. And this isn't even getting into their vehicles and other things that they use, Goliath tanks alone are very very scary, capable of firing at spacecraft ( the tank being on the ground and the spacecraft... not lol) with their main guns or if they are equipped with it, planet crackers which are used by Goliath tanks for anything from mining to destroying hive war moons if they are close enough to the center, though there are types fired by cabal spaceships capable of doing it from anywhere as long as it lands.

He lead the offensive against the Ahemkara, he led and fought in the battle of twilight gap, led the battle of burning lake, he led the retaking of the last city during the red war bloody wrestling with cabal soldiers outnumbered and Lightless (he should have been ripped apart if it weren't for his light permanently modifying his physiology even with the Light gone), the dude is also still able to walk around in his power armour Lightness, power armour that the helmets of have broken non-guardian necks before. All he's got from becoming lightness in his power armour is having to brace himself in suprise (in the Caiatl and Zavala armistice scene with the psion assassin) because of weight of the armour and lack of Light manipulation helping out, but he wasn't crushed under it like a normal human or awoken would be. There are also loads of other times the dudes been a badass, just because he has to be a leader of much more than just combat does not make him a wimp, having other responsibilities to the Last Cities people doesn't make him a wimp.
