FILM DESCRIPTION:
Bill Johnson (Johnny Messner) leads a group of scientists (KaDee Strickland, Matthew Marsden, Nicholas Gonzalez, Eugene Byrd, Salli Richardson-Whitfield) into the jungles of Borneo. They are searching for the mythical black orchid, which can supposedly grant eternal life. Unfortunately, massive anacondas have been feeding on the orchids for years. When their boat goes over a waterfall, the scientists land right in the middle of the snakes' home.

I swear this was strictly viewed here in Australia as a comedy. The spider was an orb weaver and perfectly harmless. Snakes dont behave like this and spiders don't instantly end up in your boots the second you take them off.

The reason you don't feel pain when getting sucked out by a leech is because they inject anaesthesia into the bite. This is also done by vampire bats.

Leeches are freaking terrifying, I've spent my life around ponds and rivers so I'm quite familiar with them but its just like the first time every time i find one on me, and they get WAYYY bigger than these ones here and some even have crazy colors like bright orange stripy patterns, i saw on of those nearly as long as my foot and a few inches wide, thankfully i was in shallow clear water so i was able to avoid it, but it was moving for my foot!

Thing which scares me is how fragile our society and technological advancement even is. I mean all it would take is a nuclear war which is very much dooming ourselves in a quick way or we are doiming ourselves slowly through climate change. And after all we've achieved we would be back hunting in the jungles and fighting off leeches etc

The Actor with the leeches on his back is an old friend of mine. His name is Eugene Byrd. Me and another friend I met Eugene through went to an audition with him in NYC way back when we were in our late teens or early 20's. Gene's father drove us up there from Philadelphia, only a 2 hour drive. We went to support him. It was for a movie produced by Ron Howard, who played Ritchie Cunningham on Happy Days before he became a big time movie producer. It was cool. I got a glimpse of Ron Howard when he called Gene back to the room for the audition and also in the waiting room with us was Giancarlo Esposito but i was too scared to speak to him, lol. Always liked him as an actor since I saw him in Spike Lee's movie, "Do The Right Thing." Haven't seen or spoke to Gene in probably over 25 years but I'm sure he's doing well.

I've experienced being bitten by those blood sucking leeches when I climbed a mountain. I didn't feel any pain but blood is oozing out of my feet. I heard they can make your blood less viscous that's why.
