3:50 can just admire that he admitted to his mistake, owned that it was his fault then changed to the correct decision. Takes a lot at the highest level to admit a mistake has been made in real time

I didn't realise Pearce was such a good domestic referee. I still think he still needs more time to bring all his skills to international level.

This lad is fast emerging as a top referee. Seems to adjudicate in the style of Nigel Owens , by which I mean clear and unambiguous communication with the players and tries to let the games flow.

The Saffa channels like TAS Analytics assassinating northern hemisphere refs because they're following Rassies lead and throwing their toys out the pram when losing. No responsibility of their own. I hate this culture of character assassination, it's become worse than football with the post-game disrespect of the ref. Luke Pierce has been a great ref, think a few of the Welsh and English refs have been very good recently. It's not easy reffing rugby games with the continual law changes - literally reciting and applying continually changing legal practice in real time. The refs must always be respected. Rassie has already damaged the game with his crap and it's a shame to see it has encouraged supporters to continue this undermining

As a Wasps fan I feel very grateful for the quality of referees in the Premiership. From what I've seen of the other leagues, and from what fans of other countries have told me, the standard of refereeing in the Pro14, Top14 etc is not as good.

Rugby is designed around self-control, your play, your options selection as a life lesson. Getting frustrated has to become a penalty at some point. Taking the big girl's blouse route is time-wasting especially for those professionals being paid to play.
