I'm surprised you haven't discussed scene where Banner jumps out of spaceship faceplanting on the bridge and dying for few seconds. I personally think that was the funniest scene in the movie.

I like to judge a movie for what it is and not for what I think it should be. The movie really worked for what they were going for.

Just to clarify in the comics Thor and hulk are virtual equals. In all of there fights sometimes Thor wins other times hulk wins.

I heard from the director on the music choice, if Freddie Mercury was still alive (R.I.P man), Taika would of ask him to do a soundtrack for thor. Can you imagine what Queen would sound like.

Just got back from seeing it and it was brilliant BUT it had a missed opportunity! When Hela said to Thor "What are you the God of?", it should of played AC/DC's Thunderstruck when he attacked her and her army instead of replaying Led Zeppelin's Immigrant Song. Also when Skurge jumped out the ship with Dis and Troy! and he's on top of the dead zombie bodies shooting other zombies, is it just me or did it remind anyone else of the original cover art for the video game Doom?! Which coincidentally Karl Urban starred in the live action movie.

One thing I thought was unintentionally funny is how Odin just pulled a Master Oogway in the beginning of the film.

Seen it last night!!! 8/10!!! While not the best Marvel film it sure as hell was the BEST THOR Movie of the TRILOGY.

The way they handled the warriors three reminded me of the beginning of the 80s transformers cartoon movie.

In the comics, when Thor is king of Asgard in the future, he's missing an eye.

Korg absolutely was awesome, but he would NOT work in a spin off of any kind as the main character. He is a side character that your supposed to enjoy in portions, he is not main protagonist material, he just isnt designed that way, we would get so sick of him by the end of his mini series or whatever if they did do that. You might not believe me, but i 100% guarantee you would be so sick of korg after the third episode tops. He would be a great addition to the guardians of the galaxy tho, there he could work PERFECTLY. Not as a main character in his own series, but a groot style character you only get a bit of at a time. Just wouldnt work. Certain characters are designed to be side characters, and when you take a side character whos popular and make them the main character it never works 99% of the time. For example, friends had joey tribiabi, and then they made the spin off Joey, and it failed hard. Same with the cars franchise, remember the hillbilly pick up truck everyone loved in small increments? And then he was in his own spin off, and a huge part of the sequel and every one hated it so he wasnt even in the third one i believe? This is exactly what would happen with korg. Its like trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. Just doesnt work. They arent designed for that, and thats why spin offs of popular characters rarely if ever actually work and are good.

I was wondering why for the advertising for the new thor movie was so funny, thor in a office, thor going to work, thor living with a flat mate. Reflected the movie perfectly and the new director new exactly what he wanted

Spoiler alert... Please tell me I wasn’t the only one who noticed the Doom cover art reference with Carl Urban’s character during his sacrifice...

I like the dynamic between Thor and Loki, raiding the grandmaster’s base, coming to a mutual understanding in the elevator, then Loki goes back to his usual habit, then Loki saves the freaking day, but after he pockets the tesseract.

Dam it’s awesome how happy joe was about/talking about the movie. It’s so cool how movies can do that to people they make you feel so many emotions when done right. Just seeing joe smiling from ear to ear had me smiling as well. Anyways awesome movie, probably my favorite marvel movie to date.

the reference to weapon which can kill 3 vampires, but only when they close together.... what we do in the shadows

The comedy was good, but it made the movie feel like a parody of Thor (I'm about to spoil stuff to be warned) Like remember how in Thor 2, Loki disguises himself as Odin, and we all started thinking what he could do with that kind of power over Asgard. But in Ragnarok he does a terrible job at hiding the fact that he's Loki, and everyone finds out within the first few minutes of the movie. And that scene when Thor is getting the shit beaten out of him by Hulk, Loki just gets up and screams "YES! HOW DOES THAT FEEL?!", that was very out of character for him to do. And when Thor is being told about Ragnarok, he's interrupting the guy because he keeps spinning away from him and doesn't seem to care, meanwhile in Age of Ultron, he was unnerved and quite scared when he had a dream of Ragnarok.

I didn't expect to see Matt Damon in this. His cameo was great.

The shot of all the heroes standing next to each other made me want a sequel with them teaming up again. It was so fucking good. Never even seen a thor movie before this.

I didn't get the Jeff Goldblum end credit scene. How did the Grandmaster crash? Was he pursuing Thor?

The movie reminded me of those crappy 80's fantasy B-movies, but done well.

joe they explain about the valkirye when she confronts thor about this whole conflict being a family feud: don't remember the exact words but she said something along the lines that when odin realized that hela had been freed he sent his forces to stop her, that included the valkyries and wasn't that long ago :)

Getting in on this late, and it probably means nothing right now, but when Hulk is fighting Fenrir in the water and Fenrir's fang pierces Hulk's thigh, we see some of Hulk's blood flow out into the water, I'm wondering if that might lead to a Planet Hulk-ish stand-alone.

I absolutely enjoyed this film but there was definitely excessive humor even in the heaviest scenes. Im genuinely concerned for infinity war if marvel doesnt cut back on the comedy.

world war hulk would be cool to see but they screwed things up a bit when they made miek a seemingly insignificant character and there is no one that is a love interest other than Valkyrie who could put hulk into the ultimate rage that sets things off.

ok i might be remembering this wrong but the whole who broke up with whom reminds me of 3rd rock from the sun when August breaks up with Tommy but Tommy tells the school that he broke up with her. it is kind of similar to the line "Well I broke up with her" that Thor said but then shows us how sweet he is by then saying "it was a mutual break up"

This movie was fun, but like what the hell happened? people just like stuff to be funny and don't care at all about the story. There was no drama because anytime something bad happened they just cut to something else to make us giggle. and now we will never get a planet hulk movie or a true Ragnarok movie.

It was Hela that walked through the Asgardian vault. She even stated that most of them so called treasures were fake while kocking an replica of infinity gauntlet off its stand. Then she walks next to the teseract and says that its "not bad".

Taika is a genius, I love his style of directing, and sense of humor. I wasn't into any of the Thor movies until this one.
