I was informed that the audience for Singer is different every episode in order to provide as fair a group as possible for judging the competition. There are producers, staff and sometimes friends of the performers that you will see more than once.

alex barry you will also see multiple same faces in the audience for every Dimash episode. I will do more research and see if I got my info wrong. As I said above as well, there were several of the same audience members from 2017 in the audience for Dimash’s performance of Hello this year. Thank you for the info you got Alex!

@@kayrush1706 definitely is 500 different audiences each episode. I checked on weibo the selection process. First everyone will apply online, than there will be at least 3 sessions of phone interview if you are short listed. They are more than 10,000 people apply each episodes and you have to wrote a good essay to show your love to music or what you understanding of music to get a higher chances to get selected. 😂 First episodes are people from Changsa, Hunan; which I saw many post that people are waiting for the confirmation sms. Second episodes onward they select people from all over the country. All expenses by your own self, they only provide one meal before the show. You need to be in the place 4 hours prior to the recording time. It's a real tiring process apparently, that's another reason singer don't want to be at the "First performance" as audience might not overcome from the long waited period. I also know One person flew from Canada for one of the episodes last year. You may apply online if you are interested and willing to fly to the selected episode by Hunan TV. They is slight changes they apply to Singer 2019. The replacement singer usually selected by the professional team; but this year they accept self nomination; many singers nominated themselves on weibo and went to a public poll to won a chance to be able participate in this show. This is the highest standard competition show which many singers want to enter but rejected by the production team.

pkfsylvia, hey thank you for finding this info! I really appreciate that. I’m curious then as to why I see so many of the same faces in the audience during Dimash’s performances. Umm...while typing this the thought entered my mind that I see the same faces because I watch the same episode 1,000s of times. 😂😂😂 I think I need to focus and separate episode from episode.
