No wonder Liss was smirking when she announced her resignation. I would too if I got a salary for the rest of my life - paid by you and me: (just add up how much that will be by the time she pop her clogs) AND for Boris, and all the other PMs before him - after 45 days that's big enough for me never having to work again! But do you know what I think is worse? The fact that nobody demanded that law be scrapped or the least changed to a minimum term to be in the office before earning that toff ptivilege , without resigning or being kicked out. It's not like the PMs salary is not so small they couldn't afford puttin money into their retirement plan... and they want us to do the same and do away with National Insurance and government pension scheme altogether. It seems that the Tories are genetically disposed to believe that everyone is as well off as they are and they don't want anyone else to receive benefits they have managed to get. Tory pensioners are the ones most likely to want to cancel government pension as long as it doesn't affect them, and so are younger people who are earning better than average salary. The people who can afford to insure against every type of life event for the rest of their lives. The more people they can force to sign up, the safer their money is. (My parents they paid decades into a retirement plan for us children, but the company went bankrupt and we got only a half of what we were supposed to get when the plan matured, the value being less than what my parents paid into because of the inflation.)
