Thank you SO MUCH @Anthony CHaffee MD for answering this question! I get asked all the time & remember the 4g total carbs cut off limit but the college book company should replace their explanation & infographs with your explanation! This is why I gave the limitation but asked you to explain it. Clipping the section & hopefully we can get it posted as a short for quick reference for everyone. ❤ TY again for all you do, the passion of helping people & the drive to get the truth out there. Please take good care Doc, we all need you!

Unless you're 100% carnivore/Lion diet.. 4 grams of carbs or less is not in the cards for 99% of the folks on this journey.. If you can get somewhere aroud under 10 to 15 per day.. you're gonna be in the ball park. Your body will do the necessary heavy lifting to correct issues with 10 to 15 carbs per day, especially those that are type II or pre type II; cause It's almost certian that your normal daily carb intake "has been".. way way way over 10 to 15 carbs per day.. and probably closer to over 100 or better. Be honest!

Your videos are life changing. I noticed a speedy recovery too. During Airborne training, on my last jump i fell hard on my left glute. Luckily it hit muscle and not bone. But the pain was so sharp it destabilize me for a bit. I had trouble getting up and walking. I could barely sit down. The next day i was 50 percent recovered. The following day i noticed no pain at all. Im 34 years old. I have 1 kid. I was in awe with my body. I used to get muscle injuries in track and field that would take me completely out of the game. It would take 3 weeks to fully recover and i was in my twenties. 😅

And thank Gd when I got it mounted on a shelf now not the ceiling, it still works😜

A recent subscriber and 5 weeks into the proper human diet. Anthony, your information is much appreciated and helped me navigate the species appropriate diet. IBS and constipation are pretty much gone but still have the odd inflammation here and there if I treat myself to a beer/small bit of carbohydrate. My recovery in my workouts have decreased dramatically too and feel like I should lift everyday haha!! My only vice daily for carbs is coffee, so weening off this will be incredibly hard. I am down to a max x3 cups in the morning only but even this could be a hinderance and as to why I still have brain fog!

Regarding unsalted butter, especially in the USA - be careful of added natural flavors. It’s added to most unsalted butter in America. I realized because my daughter who got a rash from soy gets a rash from unsalted butter. This prompted me to look at the ingredients and sure enough it’s cream and “natural flavors”. I didn’t even think to look since I’ve looked at the ingredients of salted butter so I just didn’t even consider they would add anything. I guess they need something to preserve it, but at least tell us what it is. And especially in the carnivore community when we are trying to be so careful. I can almost guarantee it has soy since it gave her the same reaction as soy. As for Ghee - I have UC that’s especially sensitive to dairy and cannot even tolerate butter without a flare up. I have tried ghee from Costco and it gave me terrible stomach pains all through the night so my suspicion is they don’t get all of the milk protein out. I make my own ghee 1-2x per month. 12 sticks of butter on medium low and the milk protein boils to the top and I scrape it out occasionally over an hour to an hour and a half. Then I strain it through 2 nut butter bags into a jar. It’s delicious pure fat 🤍 God bless you, Dr Chaffee. You have impacted my life, my husband’s life, his boss’s life and others that we know. Thank you so much!

Me too for 2 weeks. I got a bunch of keytone IQ and have 2-3 shots a day. That seemed to help me stop diarrhea. Tried the ox bile but didn't seem to help.i started adding chicken and eggs and pork all cooked with tallow instead of butter. I'm tired of beef already unless it's a hamburger patty. I had same problem lots of diarrhea plus missing sugar. Started walking the other day, and I think it's starting to work barely 2 weeks carnivore. Hope this helps

Avoid liquid hot fat. In time, as you feel better, you can let hot fat cool hard and have it cold with next meal. Make sure you're not over salting. Leave out organs for a while. No diuretics/laxatives like coffee esp with food and dont drink too much water, around meal times. Things WILL improve.

I’m on day 77 and unfortunately I am still dealing with this problem! I only eat beef, eggs ,salt and water. The only thing I have left to try to eliminate is the eggs and the percentage of protein to fat ratio of the meat. I did have IBS- D before starting this journey of eating the PHD, so maybe it’s going to just take more time than normal to heal my digestive system, if not, then I guess it’s time to see a gastroenterologist to find the root of the problem.

When I have an ice cream craving I make mason jar ice cream. One cup cream in a pint jar, a drop or two of liquid stevia, shake till it thickens a bit, freeze for a couple hours, enjoy! It’s not as well textured as real ice cream, but it works for me.

Please, Allow me to ask a couple of question about the Carnivore diet .(Sorry if i already posted before but i dont know what to do) : I am now over 200 days into a Strick Carnivore diet (I only eat meat and eggs. Nothing else but 500-600g of COCKED meat plus 7-8 eggs in a day. All Divided in 2 meals) I am now 35 years old, 181cms tall, 180lbs(+-81,5kg) at +-22%BF. I go to the gym 2-3 times a week.(lift weigths to help sustain or increase muscle mass and assist fat loss- HIT Workouts) I started the Carnivore diet to improve my body composition. I was a HEALHTY guy with NO chronic illnesses or health problems. I lost about 17 lbs(8kg) in the first 9 weeks (Mostly water) but since then I haven't been able to change my body composition. I have now gone more than 8 weeks without registering any body changes (weight loss, decrease in BF% or measurements like waist, legs, arms and neck ).In fact i have gained 2,5 lbs(1KG between weeks 10-12, but it might be just water. I still need to lose at least another 15lbs of fat to reach my goal of being below 15%BF. However, I don't see how the Carnivora Diet will facilitate this process. I have not experienced most of the benefits common to Carnivores (Improved sleep, more energy/disposition, etc.) nor have I changed my body composition significantly I am now over 12 weeks with no body fat lost. So I would like to ask a few question about the Carnivore diet: 1- How long should I extend my experience with the Carnivore diet to be able to lose the excess bodyfat I still have?(at least 15lbs of fat) 2- What is the minimum time you should maintain a Carnivora diet when it is not working for you?(how many weeks or months) 3-Is the Carnivore diet effective for those who are aldreay healthy and just need to improve body composition? I am affraid this way of eating is too restrictive, for a healthy person, with no aditional benefit from any other whole food diet. PS: Most of my time as a Carnivore i have not experience most Carnivore benefits or lost any body fat. Also, Sorry for any grammar mistake, i am Brazilian and english is not my first language. Thank you for your attention!

Oh, holy h*ll, SO much pain in my body all night. Based on when it started, it was the sugar and/or maybe the splenda. But the cheese didn't help. Thanks Dr Chaffee, I bought similar bake trays on amazon to yours for my fridge but it’s only 18/0 stainless steel. This grade corrodes with salt so I’m wondering if I should be concerned with chromium being etched and contaminating the meat. I will avoid salting it for now. Small amounts are good but I don’t want too much chromium.

Okay, I totally love Anthony Chaffee... am 100 percent carnivore and will never change. But I am very dubious wrt his claims of a five percent or six percent body fat athlete, having hundreds of thousands of calories (aka kilocalories) stored in fat. Basic math doesn't work for me. One pound of fat is 3,500 calories (kcals). A 150 pound athlete at 10% body fat would have 15 pounds of fat or 52,000 cals and a 5% athlete would have only half this or 26,000 cals (kcals). Help me with this math!!!!!

You are very welcome! You don't typically need to supplement with anything like that, just don't drink water around meal times to keep your stomach acid undiluted.
