Antique Estey Pump Organ "How Firm a Foundation"

6 жыл бұрынThis antique Estey pump organ dates to about 1910 and is constructed of oak. The bellows have many leaks and need to be replaced. However, the Estey reeds sound fantastic and very "pipe like". Once the warmer weather hits the northeast, I'll be taking this baby apart for a full restore. I've enjoyed restoring about 15 pump organs over the years and Estey is always one of my favorites. Excuse my sour notes.....I'm out of practice but this is my favorite hymn.

Good ole pump organ has a nice tonal quality! I'm in an undisclosed location in the NE too! And, snowy weather as well! Always good to play beautiful hymns! Thank you so much for sharing this video!

Its either an H97 or H98- Tons of reeds, capable of amazing sound

Oh I can't wait to restore it this fall. Even in this condition the sound is awesome! I just love an old Estey.

I'll hide this comment inside another. I just paid fifteen dollars for one. Its definetly commentary on the times we live in. I believe we can still emerge from the freefall. Stand.

Wat Hymnal is that in? My hymnal (songs of faith and praise) has a much more bland bass clef, and the version you have is quite a bit more complex and beautiful

Check out Rodney Jantzi. He restores reed organs and has several videos on the subject.
