With inflation hitting everyone's wallet really hard and gas prices skyrocketing by the day, it's really nice to see that there are ebikes out there that can be bought for only $799 and ride much better than you'd expect.
The Aostirmotor A20 is a folding 20" fat tire ebike with a 500 watt motor and 36volt 12.5ah battery, This electric bike has controller that put outs a generous amount of amps to really get it moving to 24mph with either full throttle (at any PAS Level 1-5) or actually pedaling at Pedal Assist Level 5.
You will see in this video my full review of the A20 from the unboxing to hitting the road for a 14 mile ride. It's quite amazing how much power this ebike has with a 36 volt battery. If you have a limited budget and are looking to get an ebike, you should take a look at the Aostirmotor A20 as an option to get riding!

This bike is definitely worth the price. Most of the bad reviews are people who have no idea how to assemble something or hold a wrench. I’ve been working on bikes for years and this thing was an ease to put together. Stem was very wobbly so I opened it up and fixed that. There’s no way of getting around the brakes they are just crappy so I threw some semi hydraulic calibers onto it. Overall it’s an amazing bike for the price.

I used mechanical brakes on my first folder. They were fine, 700 miles no problem, until I crashed it, hitting a pothole at speed. Never had to adjust the brakes at all. I rarely go over 20mph. Mechanical brakes don't leak or need plungers. I like simple.

I heard the battery will last longer if you don't fill it up all the way each time as well and never fill it up after you just rode it and go back out riding always go home with at least one space left and the battery could last up to 3 years depending on how much you ride it

Good review. Good entry level price point. What kind of cells are in the battery? You need the 4 inch fat tires, because there is no suspension.

i got mine yesterday on sale from 799.00 for 599.00 nice bike but the max 22mph but i recommend leave it on speed 1 any more drains the battery fast ..

Best bike for the speed and the price 750 watt bikes most of them only go 25 miles per hour usually it's the 1,000 w that goes 28 this is the only 500 watt bike I've seen that goes that fast 80 nanometers which is torque it's pretty quick

Totally agree. For the price, it's a great bike with really decent power and speed. I was kind of shocked. The only thing I think I'd change out sooner than later is the brakes.

There's only one little screw holding that battery it's supposed to stay against that pole so I just taped all around the top well almost to the top

What are the 3 dimensions when the bike is folded. I would be transported it folded in my truck bed but I have a toneau cover that I would need to have closed. I'm wondering if I lay it on its side if I have enough clearance.

When I get a chance I’ll try to get that measurement for you. If you do lay an ebike on it’s side, it may be best to get quick release pedals and always be sure to never lay the ebike on the derailleur. I’d also buy a moving blanket to put under the ebike (super cheap at HarborFreight, they go on sale a lot for about $8). Keep any foam pads to put between parts that touch when folded to prevent dents and scratches from being made while being transported.

We don't recommend doing this, the controller needs to match the motor, and changing the motor may cause noise when riding because it needs to be re-knitted.

Hi I just bought this exact bike recently and the gear won't shift into 7th gear. I manually pull the gear changer out and will go into 6th gear. Do you know how I can adjust this? Thx

Check the derailleur guard. This is usually the culprit. It may be hitting the derailleur as they often get bent during shipping on a lot of different e-bikes. If it is hitting, it can be pulled out and bent away by hand.

This is a video of a guy installing the guard on a bike. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/nsBprNSanLXefn0.html It should look like the one on your bike and you will need to forcibly bend it away. You should be able to see the derailleur hitting it when putting it in 7th gear.

If someone can afford it and is looking to get a more ‘premium’ ebike, then the XP is a great choice for the money. For those on a tight budget or anyone who does not need anything more than a good running ebike with decent speed, then this is a great ebike to consider.

With the standard Lectric you get fenders, rear rack, bigger wheels, 7 speed gearing, suspension with the 2.0 and I think you get a bigger battery. Those are not on the Lite.

The Veego semi fat comes with a 350W motor and the company claims it is 400W even tho it is clearly marked on the motor itself. Kind of deceptive, if you ask me.

I have not had any interaction with their customer service. They did say if someone has a bent derailleur like I did, their customer service will take care of them.

Its decent customer service takes a bit, but had a problem with a chain on delivery and a seat and controller issue down the line they sent all the replacement parts shipping was fast just the initial dealing with customer service took a bit of time

The Lectric XP is more like a “Premium” ebike vs Aostirmotor A20. If you are not on a strict budget, I honestly think that the Lectric XP might be a consideration as long as you don’t have an issue with the Lectric XP 2.0 having 3” fat tires rather than 4”. The Aostirmotor A20 is a great ebike for the price and if you have some mechanical skills (or a friend who has some) where you don’t feel uncomfortable with minor maintenance like adjusting the brakes, then its a great/fast ebike. The Lectric has front suspension and a large community for support as well as being US owned and rides smoother, but you do pay a little more for those comforts.

I can only get up to pedal assist 3 it won't go to 5 I messed something up I'll get it right I've been reading up on it it hit 27.7 when I first got it fully charged now I was down to 26.5 now I'm down to 22 because I hit the button on the LCD like an idiot

Reminds me a little bit of the lectric but the battery is much less secure here.

Yes, This frame style definitely leaves the battery exposed. The lock on it is pretty decent, but I do like that I can remove the battery easily when needed. I need to take my batteries out often and the Lectric design is horrendously straining on my back everytime I need to get to it.

@@EbikeProducts yeah I really hated the lectric design at first because it darn near takes two people to remove the battery if you don't want to drop it. The step through is even worse. And the key position is a pain. However I realized if I just leave the battery in to charge it and it's going to also be a pain for thieves. I pity the fool that tries to pick that lock upside down with all the control cables right there in the way. Insert evil laugh here. Yeah it's not happening. Imagine it chained among other bikes. 😂 Not fun and less fun for a thief. At 60 lbs the advantage is to the pursuer if he did manage to get it without the key. I'm thinking of some rotor locks as well.

If all of them are like the one I had, it would be pretty difficult for most people with how tight it was. Most of the time, some are tighter than others as things like paint and just different assembly differences make them all different from each other with regards to how hard it is to fold.

I have about 16 miles on mine. Got it two months ago. Everything is simple, but it's built like a tank. The welds are perfect, it's been raining for weeks. I won't ride in the rain. 100% happy, parts are cheap, controller is $69, battery is $299. Unbelievable value.
