Time isn't on the side of those of us who are seniors. So if men are logical ... He better get with the program. He is 78... Lol.. I'm 61.. He is the most spiritually mature man I ever met. The first man I ever felt safe with and trust him with all of me.. I keep praying that if this isn't Gods will , that God would take this longing away from me. I don't want to want what God doesn't want me to want.

A man will be truly blessed if he finds a woman who is like the woman of Proverbs 31. She is strong but is feminine, she is kind, loyal to her husband, and is wise.

I think when you are you , you are not worrying or looking for the one that is when the one appears. He pursued me for a year. I did not want to go out with him because we worked together. I thought he was a nice guy. He said later. I was so hard to get that he had to have me. I finally said yes after a year. We were together for 35 fun filled years before he passed.

I've been waiting for the right man. Lately I've been praying for God to make me into the right woman. The change in attitude has helped me to no longer wonder when I'll meet him but instead to work on myself so I will be ready when or if that day ever comes.

That day will come for sure because God himself said: "It is not good for the man to be alone" and this is valid for the woman as well. If you switched the focus on you, that attitude is that thought is from God, because that's the right attitude. We should first focus on us. Someone asked an expert in relationships. Question: - What is the top advice you would give to married or unmarried couples? Answer: - To make a list with all the positive values that they want to see in their partner and then to be that list themselves.

One thing I’m learning is? Some women will test a guy she’s planing on marrying making sure he’s reliable and dependable committed. When a woman gets to the point she can’t stand being without you you’re always on her mind. She starts saying I been thinking about you wondering how your day is going or laughing about something you said a few months back or saying hey we need too hang out more often. All I can say fellas if she dresses up real nice yup you better not miss the opportunity cause just friends don’t dress up nice when they meeting each other in person going out to eat going places spending time together. I’m learning as I go everybody’s experience in life may be different than others are.

Number 4 hit home... I was in a toxic marriage for a long time.. been single for over 3 years.. did lots of healing and getting back to my faith... and one thing that keeps showing up is I need to learn how to show off my feminine side.. and was told that when I am with a true man of God who knows his masculinity will be able to pull my feminine side out more... well I just meet someone and for a reason I can't explain but when I'm with him I want to allow myself to be more girly as I say... and for the first time it feels natural to want to impress him... as someone once Saud to me here's your sign God is with you ❤

I am really repenting just in case because what I really want to make sure I am not doing is just judging people’s hearts, but rather what I want to be doing is taking notice of people’s actual sins based on behaviors. It is definitely more Godly to allow people to come in your life as they are, but overtime as we are building friendships or relationships with people, that is when we can really self evaluate and ask God for that proper wisdom if the people we are choosing to hang out with are either helping or hurting us in our walk with God.

Hello, Mark. I josh want to state that after years of pain, several months of praying to God, and few of those months finally living in bliss of God's word, I have finally met a fantastic man! Our first date was at church! We've been talking since August and we've just made it official a few weeks ago. I like him so much because he is a follower of Christ, he has manner, and he is so honest. He told me that we're both looking for sustainability but it takes trust, time, sacrifice, and a learning of one another. He is so open with his emotions and not afraid to express himself. We live sn hour away from each other but thats fine. I think it's better because then we are really proving to each other that we are willing to accommodate to each other's schedule and lifestyle. So far we've only been on two dates but the first date was already 13 hours and the second date was about 5 hours! He works a lot and it's hard but I try not to bother him too much about it nor work myself up about it neither. So far I've met one of his brothers, one of his cousins, and two of his friends. He said they all like me much and they were impressed that I chose to go to church with him. I live internationally so my family hasn't met him yet but everyone who I've spoken to about him really like him as well. I'm m super excited and I truly believe he is the one I've been praying for. Regardless of the outcome, I trust in God and I am so grateful to have met this man. He has 👍 shown me that there are still wholemeal Christian men out there. So whether we wed or not, I am still so blessed to have met him.

@@niriaantonio9097 Hi. Just an update. It didn't work out. There was no emotional growth. I told myself I would give it by February/ March and if nothing changed, then I would have to dissolve the relationship. I'm just a bit upset because I feel like he led me on but I have no idea why. I gave him chance after chance to just be honest with me. Finally today I told him that I am emotionally withdrawing from the relationship and that overall, I don't think he's necessarily a bad guy. He just refuses to meet me half way. He replied thank for understanding and that he wishes me the best. I'm definitely hurt because I'm trying to look back and see where the red flags were.

Hey Mark. I'm asking if you could please do a video on why so many Christians who desire marriage are lonely. I've seen stories of people being single for 15 years and asking God for the joy of marriage to no avail. It really bothers me and pains my heart. I'm 19 and single and have been feeling lonely lately and I just watched one of your old videos about the hardest parts of singleness. So many people in the comments were bitter and disheartened from the experience. I just want to know why these things happen, and what we as believers may have been doing wrong for 15 years. If by God's will He can give some insight on these situations to you to then share with us, that would be lovely. But I think it's an important topic. GOD BLESS 💯

Though in a relationship, I ask myself the same thing. I think that there is an element of personal responsibility and human nature. If a man is short and physically weak, a woman’s need for physical masculinity will not be met. If a lady is overweight, a man’s need for physical attraction need will not be met. The unfortunate reality is that the likelihood for a physically and spiritually beautiful man/woman to be with a physically ugly but spiritually beautiful man/woman is very low. God isn’t going to make a woman become attracted to a man with low testosterone. The man has to go fix it in order to be a viable mate. Christians like to I think conveniently ignore how significant attraction is, and expect God to do for them what they should already be doing for themselves.

When we ask God to unite us with a Godly spouse, we must understand exactly what we are asking for. We are asking Him to join our spirit with someone else's in unison for the rest of our life. This should not be taken lightly and often times when we ask for this, we are not ready for it. When God does things, He does them in perfection. He works on a man and a woman separately first and then brings them together so that the bond is strong and will last. He give us the tools. Even after He gives us the tools, we still have free will to make our marriage work. We must allow God to work on us inorder to be the best spouse we can be. I hope this helps. God Bless you.

@@RoseGoldenJen Thank you so much Rose. I have been thinking about this lately too, that many are asking for something they are not ready for and refusing or denying to work on what they need to, to receive the blessing. But God has used your explanation to further cement that ideology that I've been thinking about and analyzing. God bless you my dear 🙏🏽💯.

That really bothers me too. God promised me a wife and I wasn't looking, but I'm still waiting. But I'm concerned more for the people who've been looking and haven't found. I once knew a girl who'd been deeply affected by abuse. She was somewhat masculine as a survival mechanism. One day, while talking with her therapist about her, I realized that a godly and loving man to love her would do far more to heal her than any prayers and therapy up til that point. Imo, there aren't many emotions as damaging as the feeling of loneliness. By God's Grace I don't feel it much (though it would be normal for me to) but I've felt it before and wonder how people who routinely feel it cope with such an ugly emotion.

This is great information. I definitely struggle with wondering why he hasn't committed to me yet because he got engaged to a girl after 5 months. It didn't work out so I understand it taking him more time now. But I've suffered some emotionally over it because my thought process is "well he saw her value after 5 months but he doesn't see my value after a year?" But I think with her, he made the decisions based on his feelings. And now I think he's trying to be logical. It still puts women in a difficult position sometimes though. Because you don't want to rush a guy but you don't want to waste your time either.

I trust God. After I meet a woman that I may start to have feelings for, I pray and ask is this girl sent by Him. Almost all of them then show me they weren't sent by Him. It has saved me from much pain and regret. I think she's (the one) married with a house full of kids already. And every woman I have ever been with, one thing is common, "you and that" fill in the blank with whatever comes to mind, while I try to be the traditional man.

Hi Mark. I love these videos and the way that they are rooted in God’s word and wisdom. I just want to ask, where is it explicitly stated in God’s word that the man should be the “pursuer”? Thanks for your videos and advice.

If you have to try really hard, she's not the one. If she is the one, she'll fall on your lap (metaphorically). Go out and meet people in a healthy group, be in the state of Grace, don't have any impediments and act the nature Gid gave you. Not happpy in yourself? Go to the source of your unhappiness and fix it.

A girl that I’ve known for 4 years, and I showed interest and she gave me a chance. Well I told her my entire story and how God has saved me, and she the same. And I took my time to get to know her better and after a week, we were hanging out and I felt led to ask her out. So, I did and she said yes, and well after she left I fell to my knees and I started praising God and then I asked him if this is the one. And well I started speaking in tongues and then I started to get up and was immediately was put back down to my knees, and I heard the Lord say, “Yes my son this is the one.” And I started to ball my eyes out. And well a week went by and as the day came we were going to hang out for her birthday and then she asked me to meet her in the English hall, and before she hadn’t texted me in 2 days, and then I get there and she said I think we should just be friends. And she looked at me like she never knew me and that everything I told her was a lie. And then she tried to walk away without explaining.And I asked why and she said she didn’t have feelings for me and didn’t want to lie to me. And I felt down in my spirit that there was something else going on. And my ex that I did some not so appropriate stuff with, but we didn’t do the deed. And I broke up with her because she was not Christian and because I didn’t want my relationship with Jesus to end, so I chose Jesus over her and she threatened me that if I ever broke up with her she would kill me and whoever I started dating next. And after that I got right with God and he set me free from lust and pornography and sexual immorality. I didn’t explain to this girl in detail about what me and my ex did, but I got the point across. I just don’t know what to do. My heart broke it felt like my heart was ripped out of my chest and stabbed. God healed it, but I don’t know how to feel. I can’t stop thinking about her.

Old people exist... don't forget us. We too have relationship needs, but are in different stage of life. Careers, children, homebuilding turn into comingling of assets, and living out retirement. There is stress and anxiety for us, especially men and women who are widowed...we come from divergent backgrounds and there is much to navigate. I believe the only reason why you never address us is that you lack life's experience to do so.

What about if a man is very shy, and just wait until she approaches in some way, not because he’s someone that is laid back, lazy, or think in a selfish way that if the woman likes a man she has to pursue her, but rather a man that is very shy to even talk to a woman just to be friends, because of bad and traumatic experiences
@ApplyGodsWordcomMarkBallenger
@ApplyGodsWordcomMarkBallenger Жыл бұрын
a man needs to act like a man :) You can be shy and still overcome that and do what needs to be done. A man needs to be able to push through minor setbacks and hurdles. Talking to a woman should not be a phobia for a man ready for marriage. I would say the man is not ready for dating if he can't even talk to a woman regardless of the reasoning. He should seek healing and maturing before dating if it's that hard for him to talk to a woman. Just my thoughts.

i agree with what mark said , i mean as a shy and introverted girl myself who has had a traumatic past and bad experiences with men, i dont let it become an obstacle to stop me from initiating some interaction with the man im interested in, even though not much. you should just work on yourself for now and pray for healing. all the best

If I am interested in the man, I will approach. However, I will withdraw myself in 2 condition, first is when the man breaks God's command. Second is the man responded negativity towards my approach. So for shy guys, don't feel discouraged, as long as you obey God, you can attract good women by just being yourself.

Interesting video. But what about the men who work so much they barely see their family? I know some men who work 16 hours a day, 6 days a week. I don't think I'd want that.
@ApplyGodsWordcomMarkBallenger
@ApplyGodsWordcomMarkBallenger Жыл бұрын
sure, of course there are unhealthy men in that area. But there are women who have unrealistic expectations too about a man's focus. So of course both sides need to be biblical and balanced :) Also, it depends on what you want in provision. If a woman desires to have those resources, she can't get mad about how long he works. It's about personal choices too and values. Some women would be fine married to a doctor who works 16 hours a week 6 days a week. You can't expect to be married to a doctor who works part time for example. So some of it certainly is subjective :)

Wife is a helper to the husband, not a block to the husband. So we should not abandon the man but use bible to explain that God set the Sunday as rest day. If the man put work first before God, we should leave the man. But we should not leave the man without giving him some help first. No one is perfect. Everyone deserves a second chance.

Sometimes a man's logic is not logical and ended a relationship because of the conclusions he came to in his logic. However, God is sovereign and in that situation as a woman i has to trust God that He is control of his logic. Perhaps the logic + conclusion in this case to end the relationship was God's protection for me, ftom marrying the wrong one. Career: many women have a career because we have to as a single person. Its often not a want at all... Also society dictates that it often takes 2 incomes...

According to Proverbs 31, the ideal woman in God’s eyes is an entrepreneur. Even though the husband is the main provider, she has her own tasks and deals, which is why she is very respected in her area. A woman without a career and without understanding of the economy would not be able to support the husband’s career.

Here's a question for this channel or whoever wants to answer: *why are there varying degrees of knowing she's the one?* Some men have little to no idea who the one is and she has to basically approve him before he knows she's the one. Some men God might speak directly to them and tell them she's the one. Then some men just have a strong recognition that she's the one even if she might not respond at first to their advances. Adam, the first man, was in the last group. He didn't need Eve's approval and God didn't speak to him about Eve. He just looked at Eve and said, "Yeah, she's not going anywhere." Flesh of my flesh and bone of my bones stuff. So, why is it the case that different men have varying degrees of knowing who the one is?
