I remember one thunderstorm I had, one of the lightning strikes crawled upwards in the sky and branched out like a tree! It was the most beautiful sight but the thunder clap that came after literally vibrates the entire house and had ears ringing after.

I haven't seen a tornado yet but I have see some great T/storms. One in particular comes to mind when I was in the UK in Kent which is an county Southeast of London in June 2014 and where I was staying I experienced the most active electrical storm with lots of Lightning and thunder, every few seconds which went on for at least a good 2-3hrs. I live in New Zealand and to get storms like that are rare. Great video. That eerie calm that you got before the storm hit is always a good indicator of a good storm.

That's a very familiar scene during summertime in SC. Storm clouds in all directions. I've already been in 2 tornado warnings......one of which was only maybe 50 feet behind my house. Was very small and moving fast, but still adrenaline pumping.

I love in Upstate SC myself. We get at least 2-3 tornado warnings a year, but luckily the tornadoes we do get are more hazardous to the trees and patio furniture than life. Have to go over to the eastern part of the state, like Marlboro/Chesterfield/Darlington County to see anything. more than EF0-1

Cool storm! Your voice is perfect for the narration. 😀 I'm in California, San Francisco Bay area and lived in West Los Angeles for decades before moving up here in '93. I love lightening and hail but we RARELY get any here. But, I have been where an EF2 tornado was forming. I was in my car with my two parrots which were in carriers. I seatbelted them in when I took them with me. I hoped the tornado wouldn't do harm and knew the seatbelts could help. I had heard about a tornado going near where I was, in a shopping center parking lot. This was about an hour South of me. I knew it was headed for the tiny city next door and thought for a minute about going there, but then I came to my senses. lol The whole experience I went through in that lot made me excited, then scared. I stayed calm and so did my birds. It was an invigerating experience! Then, I almost got hit by lightening on my balcony one night. I no longer stand in doorways or outside to watch lightening! Hey, what happened with the dog nextdoor to you?Beautiful Dobie.

where is this!? We go on vacation in the chessapeak and had a lot of litghting there a couple years ago! My dad took a photo and got 3 cloud to ground strikes in it and one hitting the water in front of us. If we were swimming we'd most likely die during that storm! Definitely die okay! It was the most lightening aid ever seen and it sounded like a firework display for close to 15mins or more, and that was the only craziest lightening storm we had! So who knows what we'll get this year but we usually get a couple thunderstorms every time where there in the end of June. We just never expected anything like that! We were on the porch watching this madness til we felt unsafe and came in. I'm glad it didn't hit the house, but afterwards ai thought I saw some smoke! It was bad it was back to the future bad worse than that sht! I hope someone still has it on video! Like a cloud to ground supercell!!!

now i saw everyone explaining there storm experiences so ill explain mine, now i had never EVER seen a nado in irl because i live it sd and its kinda rare but we still get some bad T-storms, but i would say the worse one was 2020, June 4th around late afternoon it started to come in, now at first it was just some heavy rain but then it stopped, and lightnining started going off. it then started to pour piggy bank sized hail, with heavy HEAVY rain. flooding started happening everywhere and creeks were SUPER SUPER overflowed and the hail came with wind to, it knocked down some trees and blew the hail into our windows and car, just everywhere in genral (encluding my house) it knocked out the power for about a day and did damage to our cars and house, took 1000's maybe even 10,000's but that day had some nasty clouds pulling up because u just knew something was wrong.
