I plant my Aquascaper 1200 and show you how in this full tutorial - how to plant a beautiful aquascape. I use mostly plants recycled from my old aquascape and existing Aquascaper 600.
In the next episode I'll go into detail about the equipment I'm using including CO2 injecting, filtration and circulation, liquid fertilisers and maintenance practices.
Let me know what you'd like to see in the next episode and if you'd like to see new fish in here!
Keep on scaping!

To be honest i didn't expect that watching someone rambling on and on and on while planting his scape would be so relaxing and enjoyable. :-) It was 29 mins (though a little too long) of my well spent time. I can't wait for the update of this tank in 1-2 mths time.

Overwhelmed by that video George, zoned out through all of it, had my headphones in. Absolutely amazing and so calming to watch. Answer to your last question, I think you should go for a large school of cardinals. Great video once again 👍 you’re amazing. (Gutted it’s over) Until next time.........

I agree, aquascaping is such a rewarding therapeutic hobby. The process of creating something and maintaining it, it gives you something you can be proud of and every day enjoy that little piece of nature you have in your home. Even just watching on youtube other people aqauscaping, it's a relaxing. I can't wait to see this tank grow in, wish I could travel in the future to see it. As for fish, I think you said Southeast Asia. Quickly danios come to mind, maybe a school of Celestial Pearl Danio or Glowlight Danio. Their colors will contrast well with all the green I think, just an idea. Thanks for the video!

George, it's amazing what plants will do to the hardscape. It completely transformed the entire look and feel. Really appreciate how you go over everything with the beginner in mind. This was so relaxing to watch. You inspired me to think about rescaping my 30 liter and 60 liter . I have learned so much from your videos since I started last year. When I started I didn’t take enough time to think about the hardscape and what I wanted to achieve. That is the most important lesson I have learned I think. Thank you for sharing this. 🤗

Wow.The best scape you have ever done.I am in love with that tank, can't wait to see the tank mature. Now the questions you have asked: 1-The larger "parva" you have planted are called Cryptocoryne xwillisii 'pigmea' 2-The tall Crypts you have planted are in fact Cryptocoryne xwillisii 'lucens' 3-The smallest Crypt out there is called Cryptocoryne parva 'mini' 4-The sizes of Crypts go from samallest like; parva 'mini' < parva < xwillisii 'pigmea' < xwillisii 'nevilli'(in high tech) = lutea 'hobbit'(about the same size as the 'nevilli' in high tech) < petchii 'pink' ~ albida 'brown'/'red' 5-South-easts Asian fish; Boraras brigittae a.k.a. micro rasbora a.k.a. mosquito rasbora.But dont use colourful shrimp to keep the atention on the scape. And yeah I love crypts.I think I am the crypt-guy of this channel.

Lovely 'scape as usual. I have found that setting up and maintaining a proper (not a fishbowl) tank, sensitises people of all ages to the environment and the way all parts therein rely on each other. The moment someone becomes sensitised as to how some 'simple' change can negatively/positively affect the tank, is an enormous learning opportunity.

Hey George! the secret with crypts that I have come to adopt with great success is a technique i learned from the green aqua boys. When planting any sort of crypt to avoid the melt you chop the plant all the way down to the rosette, trim the roots, and plant away. Doing it this way avoids all of the normal issues you get adapting the crypts to your water and they will absolutely explode with new growth rather quickly. Just a little tip from me to you, love the content and I look forward to seeing more! Much love from the USA!
@GeorgeFarmerStudios
@GeorgeFarmerStudios 5 жыл бұрын
Thanks! It’s an old technique originally done by Oliver Knott. I like to see the crypts from the start. I don’t usually see much melting 😊

I was sad to see the original scape get pulled down but now I'm glad you did. 😀 I would love to see a bunch of rummy nose tetras swimming around in there but if you're sticking with Asian only then neon green or chili rasboras would be fantastic. An Australian creek biotype with Dwarf Rainbowfish would be pretty unique and could be done in 2ft. You could even put a few riffle shrimp in it.

The final result is gorgeous. I love the way you redid the hardscape. Once the crypts establish in the new scape and start growing the tank will be stunning. I always vote for nano fish because I like them in large schools - celestial pearl danios, chili rasboras, pseudomugil luminatus. Where was the red colander?!?!
