Welcome to the third part of our 6 part video 'VLOG' Building a Monster 4 player Arcade pedestal (and an over the top Fightstick).
In this semi-last part, we will be wiring, soldering and connecting e v e r y thing in the crazy pedestal. As the video is already over 30min long we won't be covering the fightstick but... it is more of the same anyway ;-)

5:23 Won't bore anyone with the details, but even with AC it's important to wire up Live and Neutral the correct way around, especially so with mains voltage.

In my example (Arcade cabinet video) it does not matter. When installing your electricity in your home...True, that is another story. Thanks D

this was one of the most informative videos of the series that shows you the inner working of the button placement. I hope you can show how you program the dang board and show us how you model these professional beauties.

Great video series! Thank you so much. I learn so much from them. Your explanations are very helpful. Your passion for quality and attention to details is inspiring. One question: what are the four buttons in the upper right labeled ‘controls’ for? I’ve seen those buttons in some of you other builds but in different locations. Also, what type of buttons are they? They look different than arcade buttons. Again, thanks for these videos!!

Actually looks you already explained those buttons in another video. I just saw they are for FPGA support.

Great video! Question. Which and how many I-Pac(s) without spending a lot would I need for 4 x 8-way competition joysticks, 20 x LED buttons, 4 x LED players buttons, 4 x LED coin buttons, 2 x LED pinball buttons, 4 x LED buttons (start, select, pause, exit), 1 x 4-way joystick, 3 x LED buttons, 1 x RGB trackball, and 1 x spinner. Does the ultralux LED button come with cherry switch?

I would go for 2 Ipac Ultimate boards in your case. Ultralux are not complete with switches. You can ask Andy from Ultimarc more about his products 👍🏽

where did you find led sanwa buttons for mouse clicks?

Sorry! just checked and they are not made by Sanwa. Just Google 24mm LED and you will find them directly

Great that you also show your mishaps, that makes your videos more than likeable. If you have the time and muse, how did you route the power supply for the Ultimarcs, I'm a newbie there. Is a normal 5V power supply enough?

ipacs are connected to the PC power supply (PSU) cable is provided! Thanks D

@@TheDanielSpies_Arcades Hey Daniel. I am having the same issue as a newbie. I for the life of me cant figure out where to connect the PSU cable provided to my computer. There is nothing inside of it that resembles the cables provided by ultimarc for the ipac ultimate.

@@DrunkNoRegret PSU means ‘Power Supply Unit’. This is the power supply of your computer. It has many outputs, you will need the Molex connectors in this case. Google is your friend here 👍🏽 take care, Daniël

I'm very curious Daniel. How do you connect the flight stick switches, like direct to the joystick header, so two joysticks on one header or to the J3 configurable headers? Loving this series, thanks!

Hi, you could definitely connect to switches to one header on the Ipac indeed, or, you can connect the switches together and then only route one wire to the Ipac input - or (this is what I did) connect them to other ports and give them the same keyboard output in WinIpac. All three options are valid though. Thanks! Daniel
