Nice tutorial!! I got a question. I have an LED strip plugged into my pacled64. I just want it to turn on to BLUE when I turn my pc on. Just always on, nothing crazy. I can't figure out how to keep the blue light on, but I know it works when testing it in pacled64 app and LedBlinky app. I feel like there is something simple I'm missing. Any help would be appreciated!

Idk if you stated the price of everything but I guarantee that the client spent over 5k on this machine. And It's worth it. You could easily charge quarters to use it and get some of that money back or just be spoiled with it

Apologies if this has been asked elsewhere in the comments, but how do you generally go about joints/fasteners etc, to hold these pieces together? I guess with wood, you have the luxury of nails, screws, glue etc "after the fact", but I'm creating a smaller model with a 3D printer and would LOVE to either get your input regarding joints etc, or perhaps consider a followup series showing us how you'd make a mini 3D printable one? 😛 I get that plastic can also be glued/welded, but I like the approach of making parts easy to swap out so that I can replace with a new/better version, move/add extra port holes, etc.

20 yr shipper. If you have a super expensive item and you want to ensure the claim is paid in full you MUST take the item to a official UPS store and pay them to package it and ship it and insure it for the full value. This is the only way they will pay the expensive claims. If you pay them to pack it secure it and ship it,they can not claim “improperly packaged “ and they will claim this 90 percent of all claims that are over $100.

As a side question - for a bar-top or full size machine, it’s fairly safe that regular arcade joystick/buttons would fit. However for a machine with a 5inch display, it’s a little trickier. Do you have any links/recommendations for any that would be suitable for something of this size? I’d like things to be fairly sturdy, though my plan is to have two USB inputs for game pads so the controls would be mostly ornamental. But having the option of just playing with the raw unit would be awesome. Options I’ve seen are either a) unknown dimensions b) fragile-looking and/or badly reviewed.

This series has been great, mainly as it’s been related to what I’m doing (a mini arcade cab with 5” screen). So it’s nice to see relatable examples and solutions rather than the normal “here’s how to make a box”. Cheers!

Amazing Neo Geo arcade. I own a Big Red Neo Geo arcade myself. I also have a Mistercade. I like the pixel marquee, I didn’t know I can hook it up with Mistercade. I think I am going to hook mine up like that.

You totally nailed it! The way you rebuilt and learned from the experience is truly commendable. Great work! On the flip side, let me tell you a little story about shipping nightmares. FEDEX just lost a pallet. Yes, an entire pallet, and it was for a friend of mine! They all suck! And don't even get me started on Post NL. I lost a parcel I was sending to Belgium. In my opinion, these companies are just bad news. It's like they're in a competition to see who can lose more packages! 📦🙄

It's a nightmare what happend to you only you made a good situation out of it with a version 2 that was even better. 5:12 that is my going wild pizza face by the way 🤣

I admire your work. You make the best arcade cabinets. It would be cool if you add one of these cashless payment system with smart card reader to an Arcade cabinet. I'd like to see how you plumb it in and make it work.

That's a shame. Ever since their current CEO took over, UPS seems to be going in a downward spiral. I would guess they didn't so much as "lose" it, but got damaged beyond repair by their conveyor belt system. Packages get caught and crushed all the time if not caught on time.

What vinyl wrap material / supplier are you going with now? I have been looking around for a quality printer, the one in my area doesn't have very good wrap materials....

Maybe you can put air tags in your future shipments then request the buyer to send the tags back to you?

How disappointing and unfortunate situation. UPS has a history of not looking for lost parcels. You might need to put insurance your expensive parcel(s). Love the positivity, enthusiasm and confidence. Keep it up!!!

You definitely produce the best arcade cabs out there! Perfection and detail is in every build and that is how it should be done! I'm hoping I can get back into the swing of things and start reproducing my King Cade ultimate arcade machine! I purposely made a design totally different than anything that has ever be done before as it creates some uniqueness never been seen giving it a look of pure testosterone using the red and blue fire and ice flying dragons art work. My biggest obstacle is getting the MDO board as here in the US is not always available!

It's time to place your own GPS tracker in every Build and after the sale the owner of the arcade can return it! You could track your builds as they go out and not even depend on tracking from UPS!

UPS didn't "lose" the package, someone that worked there, and knew what was in it, stole it. I watched the build video, it was a beautiful panel. I'm glad the client is understanding and you are doing everything you can to make it right for them. Definitely a man of integrity.
