I found this company about 5 years ago and decided then that when I retire this is what I wanted. I am retiring next year and will be completely off grid and debt free living in one of these on my homestead. By selling my home I live in now I will be able to afford 20 acres in the mountains with a 32ft arched cabin and owe no one.

Ive seen some areas don’t let you be “off grid” as in basically you are still charged a base rate whether you use water, electricity etc. Big corp private utilities doing this

Hey I ve been there and done that, you can do it Girl, Pray about it and Continue to move forward. God loves you, he will never forsake you. If you are hurting inside and looking for love, love that child with all your might, find your self by bringing and living the best honest life that you can live for him or her. Look into 1st time home buyers years ago you got a free $10,000 down payment as long as you stayed in the home 5 years so for alot of people in my town where housing was $ 80,000 for a 3 bedroom home did not have to have any money out of pocket down .

Just imagine villages like this, where seniors, young people, families, all of them live together in a community. Independent, happy, being friendly and helping each other. Imagine children playing with the giant-chess game, adults preparing a BBQ and an old couple on their terrace, one crocheting and one solving a crossword.... In my dreams

We've been building one of their 20ft cabins in the Texas hill country since late last year. Josh is an amazing guy. He found our place in the middle of nowhere with no problem and somehow towed a huge trailer over river crossings and tight turns to get there. He helped us unload and offered to help out on the site. He stayed for dinner and gave us a lot of useful tips on the best way to put everything together. I would highly recommend these guys. They are extremely nice and you can tell they take a lot of pride in what they do. The shell goes up pretty quick. Then you go to work on the interior. It can be whatever you want. Just use your imagination.

It was not exactly God, but he sure had the vision to patent the business here in the US, these arched cabins are been built in asian contries for centuries, I was in Indonesia 20 years ago, and I stayed a month in a cabin identical to those, but the roof was made of coconut palms instead of metal

The basic principle is ANCIENT. This design was used for thousands of years by the many tribes of the Great Lakes and the Eastern Woodlands. We call them "Long Houses." This is the Tiny House version of those mammoth structures. Congrats for bringing this ancient home concept to a new century.

Who is paying for the land, the upkeep etc etc. “The government” is us. We will be paying for your idea. IF it was a halfway house, a stepping stone to get on track then perhaps. (A time limit in the house) But to outright give it to anyone. Not cool.

When I win a major lottery I plan on creating housing for the homeless as I have no desire for material needs. And this is a great way to see my dream come true as I have my eye on 600 acres in NC. in which to start this project. I have experience in handmade log cabins that would fit the same purpose but I love the idea of different approaches in order to meet the same goals without diminishing resources. When I win the lottery I will be in contact with you for sure. Peace and love.

So much more eco friendly than cutting a lot of wood to size on a job site and having dumpsters full of waste scraps! It would be even better made from recycled aluminum & other recycled materials. Helps save resources (like the rainforests) and great for affordable housing.

At the rate our society is going..it would behoove us to start growing our own vegetables etc..Having a house like this with extra land can make it happen. I hope I can convince the next man I marry to do a project like this. It doesnt have to be an Arched house..It can be done purchasing a manufactured home.

That is true. Politics is real, and in rural America where republicans have control, there are few if any regulations or building codes. Taxes are low. This attracts a lot of young people who want to live simple and off-grid. Unfortunately a lot of these same people end up voting democrat in their new areas, and along with democrat leadership comes regulations, codes, and high taxes. They end up creating the same problems they ran away from, yet seem oblivious of it.

I didn't even know this existed and its hella cheap and affordable even compare to a tuffshed or a traditional tiny home. This could be used as a temporary home while your building your custom dream home, then it can be used as a guest home/rental property.

The Arch Design also helps the storm and wind currents slope over the structure instead of slamming into the sides of the structure. Great design. Tethered correctly to a foundation or any ground structure it should hold pretty steady in a storm setting. Also the design would also assist in holding the home frame together in case of a storm rollover. If it was rolled over in a major storm the structure would likely stay intact.

@@LANDIO I think it would be good if you do slower walkthroughs of the interior's with kitchens bathrooms , bedrooms , et cetera . Also , I could not really get an idea of what it is like to live in one of them because of the wide-angle lens used on the camera in all the interior shots . I have to be honest . Too much time was spent showing the one that had a lot of plants in it and not enough interior was shown on the ones that are totally livable . Your father has a great idea there . But I think some people need to see more Interiors ( without the wide-angle lens ) and less of outside I hope that helps .

I have a 36 x 50 Quansett hut that I re-roofed. The re-roof was very similar to how you guys build your buildings. I did this building by myself without any equipment. The procedure I did was to start from the top and work my way down. Is what I did was put a temporary purlins across the arches so I can use those as my ladders to get up to the High Point. I put down the first top sheet then remove the purlins I was standing on. Next you slide the next sheet and snap it under the bottom edge of your first top sheets. And continue working your way down to ground level. This process worked out excellent. And like I said I never needed any big equipment to reach up too first, with any panels. For that fact I didn’t even need a ladder. I just thought I would share this process that I used with you.

Those are pretty. In the later 80s I went to a dinner party in a house that was arched in Colorado. It was beautiful. All wood, think it was ceder. Back then they were weathy and weird, but hey it's 2020: you caught the potential. I do not live off of the grid, but a house having that design in Colorado with all this snow is a must.

Looks like an improved version of the military quonset hut. Some of the old ones can still be seen in Alaska. Snow load on those were excellent as I recall. Be nice for a homestead or off grid home.

this is an ingenious Idea. I'm designing a containerized farm around the same principles. Take your video of Sustainable Harvesters and combine it with this idea (but with modular sets of agricultural and business support equipment) and that's basically what I'm making. It's incredibly gratifying to see someone else achieve and maintain a similar dream. Your guys channel is rally something else, guys. awesome job 👍🏼

Based on Quanset huts used by military on bases. My mom had plans for it herself. I remember this from the 60's. Nice job
