It was doing really similar stuff to your machine, so I tried to replace the rotor position sensor and it fixed the issue! Seeing your machine behave the same way helped me to diagnose the problem. It was a cheap and easy fix. Thanks for the help!

Your video helped me diagnose mine! Unfortunately I did not stop the cycle in time before it got really bad and blew two fuses, and also blew out the main control board. But $90 for main board, and $12 for sensor, and now I'm back up and running again. So now I know, if it acts up like yours, best SHUT IT DOWN IMMEDIATELY and replace that sensor! So much for fuses protecting the main board. I'm going to try and repair my original board. Hopefully just a power transistor that also blew. My original board when I press the power button on the panel resistor R72 gets VERY HOT. The resistor that is mounted above the board with some white heat protected wrap got super hot and started smoking.

Thank you for your video - the assembly sensor was my problem - got the spare part on Amazon and had it fitted and back working in 20 minutes - note removing the bolt (17 mm) can be tricky but recommend using a ratchet and tap wrench with a hammer while holding the assembly and it releases

Hi , i was Not sure this applied To Top Loading washer but IT does, mine did little noise and dis stop with code LE , so replaçing thé Hall sensor did dix the issue. So thank you for this video witch show the problem with the noise.

Awesome video. The exact problem I have. Same sound. Thanks a ton. Wish I would have found this before I replaced the hub. But I agree that it is a bad design so best to replace it while I was in there. I think I figured out what the noise is. I think it is the fins on the rotator hitting the bolts that hold on the stator. But someone can correct if wrong. Thanks again. Wish I would have found this video a week ago.

The awful sounds comes from the motor not knowing how to properly magnetize the electromagnets and it's essentially causing a very uneven rotation of the rotor. Think of having the motor running in one direction at high speed and then have it immediately try to change its direction of rotation. It causes that awful sound as it's a completely uneven magnetic field since the position sensor can't tell where the rotor is EXACTLY.

Sounds really loud ? I have a Kenmore elite washer that won’t spin. Will spin and spin and spin eventually says it’s uneven. Then it gets stuck in the loop. Spins and spins then uneven

Wish you had put at the top of your comments that you replaced it, because your reply to that effect is now at the bottom. I might add for those who read, some of the cheap chinese knockoffs are not worth the time of waiting for a good lg part. There is a video where i guy troubleshot the hall switch and if you have electronic tools would be useful to work this. Perhaps when i have mine working again, i will tear down the old sensor and restore it. I still look to the day when you can't get replacement parts and have to do something like that.

hello i repl;aced the RPS a bout 1 month ago and it worked fine till yeserday after i opnly put 2 towels and i got the LE error code again and i called LG and they said remove the 2 towels and i stillget the LE error code and i did a power reset and i still get the LE error code

Sometimes you will end up with an error code appearing on the display which will tell you that the motor is locked
