This reminds me a bit about people who work with big cats. Yes, their beautiful, and it might be highly rewarding to work with them. But if you ever forget what you're dealing with, they will rip your face off. But that's not quite right, because alot of those cats are raised from birth around people, so would be more used to interacting with people. I think the "apex predator" analogy is a very good one. Just like with apex predators, some humans will always seek to anthropomorphize, but they forget, a wolf or lion isn't driven by human goals and ambitions. Same thing applies to the Good Folk. It seems to me that we should have more of a pet perspective while working with them, and we are the housecat. If we're good, we might get a stroke or treat, but if you're not, then we get a swat. And there is always those that just plain don't like cats. Go raibh ma agat for all the work you're doing.

Loved this. The term fairy is indeed generic, like the term animal. I could look at pictures of birds or I can go to the forest and see them in their natural habitat... Sure there are poisonous reptiles, or bears, mountain lions etc but the forest is safe if you know what to watch for, what to do. Educating myself through quality information such as yours, I hope, preps me to safely explore and work with those of the otherworld much more closely than I have ... I don't want to experience animals in pictures or in a zoo... There's no feeling quite like befriending a wild wolf or raven and seeing it accept you. 🖤

Timothy Treadwell is the man you're referring to concerning the grizzly bear. Very good documentary about him and the "madness" by some folks who are not careful nor scientific in their study for the creatures they love. That was a good illustrated point you made. I can certainly understand the fae/gentry/wee folk, etc. getting a bit irate when there are biblical passages read to them, for them, or around them. Misinformation such as that tends to make me the same way as well. Another good point. Well done.

I have never chosen the good folk to work with but they come to me often and have ever since I was a child. My grandmother is pure Irish on my mother's side and my granny was born as a Cherokee on the reservation on my father's side and both communicate about the little people. They both would throw bread to the little people. Mine has been working with me ever since I was a child and used to show himself up as a child and grew As I Grew. But he doesn't look anything like the beautiful fairy tales that you see in today's world. Now he's never caused me harm but he has caused others around me harm that had tried to hurt me. What I would say is that working with this energy or him working with me has probably left me lonely for Humanity at times because it has affected my life. But with this said I don't know life without this particular individual. I am also a witch. Third generation on my granny side and longer through my Irish side. I would say not to mess with them. They have minds of Their Own and a thought process of Their Own. Some believe they are demons and others believe they are the gin. All I know is mine has never physically caused me harm that I know of. But he's very protective over me. I will never worship Him and I never feel like I have to give them a treat in order to leave me be. If anything I feel blessed to have them in my world. But I say this to others that play with them. They're not toys. They are from a civilization that existed long before we did and many of them do not like humans at all. Some are fascinated by us. If you get one to fall in love with you and sometimes they will through history they will always affect your human romantic lives.

Really appreciate all the hard work you put into this subject, and make it available to everyone the way you do. Everything has the potential to be dangerous, and humans are especially dangerous, but we all have to deal with humans, so....It's good that we have information out on how to avoid offending the fae, because it's so damn easy to do it without even knowing that you did. And then knowing how to appease them (hopefully) is important too. If I had known that an offering and simple apology (without explanations!) would stop the problems I was having I would have done it far sooner!

How does one know if it was the fairy's who caused something harmful to happen vs. something else? Also, where is a good place to research fairy folklore - Online? Looking for historical/witch-fairy connections etc.? I have your books and they have helped alot!!! I have met some who have really scared me --- but odly enough, the fairy guides who i've made/built a connection/relationship with, have literally pulled me out of some dangerous situations --- Although, with my trusting heart, I didn't realize I was in potential danger! They have also helped me heal, when I was sick... I didn't ask, they just did it... I Love your channel to!!! This video really helped!!! You make things easy to understand😊 Thank you🦄

Listening to this video made me think of The Dullahan. Recent pop culture makes them out to be a race of undead horse riders characterized by carrying their severed heads, but what little I have found about them in folklore suggests there is just the One. I was wondering if the Dullahan was a Tuatha/deity once worshipped forever ago and just changed nature to the frightful being we know him to be today?

I spend a lot of time in the woods and usually, I feel very welcomed and safe. I know I'm not alone and I try to be respectful. I taught my children to not be loud and boisterous while we were on our hikes; for one thing because by walking softly you're more apt to see the wild creatures and also so as not to disturb the little people. I once was about to take my children on a night hike at about twilight on a boardwalk we'd traveled dozens of times before. Only a few yards into the woods, I got the feeling that I wasn't welcome there and that to proceed would be dangerous to me and my children. (I have four daughters.) I turned around. I always follow my gut instinct. My husband has told me of a similar feeling he got while he was hunting. He entered the wooded area, where he'd been many times, and felt that he wasn't welcome and he got the dickens out of there. As for other times, I've been with very young children in this one area I refer to as the cathedral and I've watched them watching something that I can't see. They are darting their eyes back and forth and smiling so sweetly. I am left to wonder what it is they were seeing and feeling a bit envious that I can't see it. I've heard of the faerie folk as being shape-shifters and I've often wondered if the animals that have appeared to me at times when I am down in the dumps, I call them my gifts of nature, are something more. I mean, it's not often a fox comes up to you whilst you're hanging laundry on the line with tears in your eyes from fear and sadness or to see a badger cross the road as you're driving to ease a bit of anger. It's like something is helping me "snap out of it!" It always works to bring me back. Now, the question I have for you is this: Can you give me some insight on what was going on in the experience that follows? I am an avid gardener, mainly flowers, herbs, trees and berries. My favorite place, besides the forests, is my yard. One day over 15 years ago, I was working in one of my flower beds when I heard this chirping sound in my left ear and at that moment I "heard" the brightest shade of blue. I jumped up and looked at the flower, a peony, that had been next to my head. There appeared to be nothing there in the blossom, no bee or beetle, just the happily nodding flower. I got back down on my knees with the flower on the other side of my head and very soon afterward, I heard the chirping again and the flash of color in my mind. I was thrilled and made the mistake of telling a couple of people about it and was told it was tinnitis, from which I do not suffer, and from that time on I've not told anyone about it...until now. Does any of this resonate with you or others who might read this comment?

What are your thoughts on incarnated faeries? It appears to be quite a recent concept so I'm curious about your take on the subject as a really well-researched folklorist. I've actually been told that I'm one myself (my soul is allegedly fae but not physically whatsoever), which is my primary motivation for wishing to connect more deeply with these beings, but I will admit the dangers they pose are quite off-putting.

I have been living in Ireland some years now, I had an interesting experience in co.Kerry, I would say a frightening one, but somehow I feel very honoured now that time has passed😅 but I wouldn't like to repeat the experience, no way. In some forests I have felt very observed, nor welcome, nor unwelcome, just like, we are here, be very careful what you do, how you behave. I wouldn't like to integrate the Other Crowd in my practice, but they're there, it's good to know what to do and what not.

Do you know of material that gives info on how to do it safely? Also, I'm curious as to what you did to offend them that they would make you blind for three days. You don't have to answer if it's private. Do you think faeries are different in different parts of the world? I may have asked this question before so ignore if I have. 😊💛

One thing you mentioned makes total sense - all things do btw - their being offended by Christian prayers, etc. That is a great explanation also for the infernal beings to get angry, that they are offended, not scared of the Christians. Also, I have dreamt of these fair folk or fae and some were so friendly but they seemed to treat me like royalty, which I believe I may have an explanation for. However, there were some fae who literally wanted to hunt me down and kill me. They were hellbent on destroying me. So, yes, they can be very dangerous!

Dear Ms. Daimler. I hope you can forgive an utter beginner asking what may be a very foolish question, but I am trying to not assume that the Good People would react in the same way that a human being would in the same circumstance. I am disabled. I use a wheelchair to get around, and I have no doubt that bits of it are iron even if they're covered with coatings or chrome or whatnot. I am not able to go out into the wild much, as they don't pave the wild much, and it wouldn't be the wild if they did. Still these are powerful beings, and I don't know enough to predict how they would react to me. Would my medical mobility tools make it difficult or impossible for me to build a relationship with the Shining Ones? Would my disability color their reaction to me? I have read avidly about the Good People since I was very small, and I would like to learn more about them if I can do so, but I want to do so respectfully, courteously, and as *carefully* as I can. Thank you for your kindness in letting me ask this question.

Fairies never hurted me. I have had a lot of experiences with fairies. The worst they did to me, was to abandoned me for following a christian witch. Now: a violet fairie opened my third eye. It was half opened before. I did not use entheogens or nothing that day. I just was turning back from work, and then I opened the door, more or less in the sunset hour, and there was A LOT of violet energy IN ALL THE ROOM, incluiding the restroom. ¿How I now was a fairie? Well, now with my readings, I'm shure, but also because it was according the fact that a Level III Reiki Woman master (and pleyadian) sold me and amethyst druse with what she called a "fairy queen". That violet energy was segmented in a lot of big semi cyrcles, each of them segmented in curved lines (what people in past atribuited to wings). The window was clossed, and despite of that, I felt pushes of wind, but I felt it coming directly from the energy. From an other hand, I heard a buzzing sound, like the sound of a whisp, and whith the plus of the "iiiiiiiiiiiiiii" in your ear, that is a signal when is spontaneus and in concordance with energetic manifestations or supernatural facts. The only thing I dont understand is: if Faes are small and fairies are human size, ¿why I never saw a human energy silouette or a fairy woman directly? Maybe fairies's world is more complex, and there are queens of the little fairies, with not human size antropomorphic bodies, but with BIGS energie bodies

Cause years ago I had a conflict with the reiki and pleyadian (according to her own) master that channeled the fairies for me, the only formula I preserve is to call a kind of fairy to increase the creativity, but I don't know if that can works, cause in the past, where that little fairy (orb type) uses to be with me in a pendulum of lapizlazuli, was the master (a woman) who did a part of the process at distance, so I don't know if I or any one can perform it alone, but the formula could be analizate in order to search paralelism and more according to the fonnetics.
