To say that this was an amazing interview would truly be an understatement! The section in ACIM where Jesus presents the question ....... WHAT IS DEATH? Will now take on a greater meaning than it has ever been before. I can't wait until Robert and Emily presents a part 2 interview with Dr. Jan Holden. Meanwhile , when I think of Robert and Emily in helping all of us to have a deeper experience of ACIM.....LOVE IS THE WAY I WALK IN GRATITUDE!

This was wonderful, thank you. I had the thought that maybe some of the NDE's are just to tell us that we don't die and that our consciousness really does go on!

Robert, my heart fills with gratitude to you and Jan for this video! I still can't believe how Spirit led me to read about NDE's in a copy of Reader's Digest when I was just 8 or 9 years old! Several years of spiritual seeking later, here I am, studying the Course for the past few years. I agree with what you said in your intro that the experience we hear from NDE'ers is strikingly similar to what the Course talks about, and to be honest, during some of my faithless moments, it is NDE stories that brought me back to the light and back to the Course! Thank you to you and Emily, I love your podcast and of course the CE book and app! Your footnotes, cameos and the practice part of the app has been invaluable for me. Thank you

I am excited to listen to this episode as I had an NDE at the age of ten and it had a powerful influence on the direction of my life. But one thing you said that stood out to me was that NDE accounts are the closest thing you can get to the teachings of ACIM. I don't know if you meant that literally or not, but if so I would urge you to read Mary Baker Eddy's "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" because the "Science" she discovered (when adjusted for jargon and her Christian religious context) is genuinely the closest thing Ive seen to ACIM. The remarkable similarities are a testimony to the veracity of both women's (Baker and Schucman) work, in my opinion.

Thanks to you both for this conversation💚 When the question of why all the suffering came up, I heard this answer: I want illusion more than I want God, but I'm fortunate. Every aspect of illusion can be used to deliver me Home to God. I only have to allow it. NDEs help beings relax into and therefore share this setting of allowing.

Great podcast. In the beginning she mentioned that she would explain why she doesn't use the word incarnation but she never got a chance too. I was curious why, anyone know?
@martinwagner7361

Hi Jennifer, from my own NDE and as well how I understand ACIM I as well use "Incarnation" only with such quotation marks because it gives a kind of false perceptions that the spirit/soul would somehow be "within the flesh of the Body".... What I actually experienced during the NDE was rather that that my Mind snapped after the impact of the Car crash suddenly it's main focus point in the middle of my head..... Meaning I didn't somehow leave my body, drifting slowly out of it or the like....At the time of impact the next thing I perceived was looking down to the accident scene from 15ft above... instantaneously. Which was confusing and took me some time to understand what I was looking down at, there was quite a detachment towards my body, car etc. I remember contemplating if I now was "dead" or how I could get back to connect with my body as I noticed then that I had 360• vision...then I noticed that Light at quite some distance that I found myself gravitating towards to... As I did that a kind of vortex opened up that sucked me in that felt like a dimensional shift similar to the tunnel that other NDErs experienced. As I moved now very fast towards the Light I became more & more aware of its Love the closer I got and as that Love increased I became acutely aware about all the negative emotions/thoughts/mindset I had prior to the accident and the knowing then came that I had to forgive and let go or couldn't go closer to the Light/Love.... So many processes happened during my NDE in very rapid succession and even simultaneous unfolding of events that take a long time to describe in linear language but I think that there are multidimensional realms of Mind/Consciousness that I wasn't aware before the crash and that our perception of thinking inside our head is just the default normal focus point during our physical Life and that at the time of impact that focus point snapped its ties to the Body/Mind interface and was then able to perceive the higherdimensional Levels of Mind/Consciousness that were there before but kinda veiled... because the Mind is usually so focused on the Body.... Maybe you had these dreams where you are able to fly and it seems so absolutely natural to do - till you wake up and with some big disappointment find out that you were just dreaming.... I had them often but the way I look now upon them is that my Mind snaps its ties to the Body during sleep very similar as it did in my NDE and then explores various other realms of Consciousness....that essentially the brain is more like a physical Interface with the Mind/ a receiver rather than the Creator of Consciousness.... many other NDErs have come to a similar understanding by their own experience, even Brainsurgeons who had a die-hard training in material Reductionism Science like Dr. Eben Alexander can't anymore buy into the old paradigm that unconscious electrons and neurotransmitters somehow magically create most sophisticated Consciousness.... There's much more plausible Evidence that the Brain is rather a Receiver for various Levels/Realms/Dimensional frequencybands of Mind / Consciousness that would allow to integrate NDE's, Obe's, After Death Communication, Precognitive "Dreams" turning out to be real and even God/the Light/Source into a scientific multidimensional & interconnected Model/Map of Consciousness that actually has been suggested by the various phenomenon of Quantum physics for an entire Century.... Because string theory is requiring at least an 11th dimensional Universe instead of just a 3dimensional space time Universe or it's mathematical equations have no solution.... And Jesus as well points out truthfully many times in ACIM that all Minds are joined/connected and that Noone can really separate from God. It's kinda weird that although Science can only happen in Consciousness we have just very recently BEGUN to scientifically research/examine Consciousness itself....😋 Hope that answers your question regarding her resistance to speak of "Incarnation".... it's more that the Body is within the Mind than the Mind being in the Body.... And THAT'S WHY Jesus in a Course in Miracles in the Handbook for Teachers says about Reincarnation : In the strict sense/meaning Reincarnation is impossible.... (Because it's an Upside Down perception to perceive the Mind "going into the flesh" when in Reality the Body appears within the Mind as I tried to convey to you) In the sense that a tangible and quite convincing appearance/illusion of Mind being in the flesh is still just an illusion. 🤗🙏

@@jenniferjerome3789 It's not an illusion in the sense that it wouldn't exist.... The illusion is rather that nothing else than the physical world exists... because most definitely these various realms of Consciousness DO EXIST. Let's say the NDE set me on a deepest spiritual Journey ever since for the next 3 decades, at the time of the accident I was pretty much a hardcore scientific Atheist but that outlook wasn't anymore justifiable and as well I felt extremely homesick when I eventually found myself back in the Body again the separation from this Love was excruciating.... Plus I could basically read people's Mind and all the things they thought but wouldn't say that was really unbearable..... I just couldn't handle that and left for the next 2 years my flat only for buying food or staying in nature as far away from people as only ever possible....till I finally cried out to God to take that again away from me.... which he really did.... It wasn't at all fun to register ALL the lies, falsehood, ill will, hurt, pain, anger, hate, resentments, envy, jealousy, bitterness, abuse nonstop 24/7 in everyone I came across to the full extent no matter how much they tried to hide....to this day and although God shut me off again from that extreme Level of clairvoyance I have a hard time bearing that and have to reconnect daily in Meditation with higherdimensional Love to bear the deep awareness of the suffering & negativity that so many go through/hold onto....So as beautiful as the NDE was it is a tough challenge to find yourself afterwards back in the physical world and to function again in this Love starved World....ever since the NDE I felt like a messenger between Heaven and Hell, one foot here, one foot there....it took some deep effort to integrate the experience, so extreme is the contrast between these realms that many NDErs struggle deeply with it. That's the advantage of really practicing ACIM & workbook - that the transformation from fear to Love happens much slower, much more gradual, not as abrupt going from 0 all the way to a 1000 and back in an hour.... Now many sure would like the rush of Love as it is indeed the ultimate "drug" but they're unaware that the sudden withdrawal from it is excruciatingly painful too....so a NDE is still NO substitute for the deep inner transformational change that one must undergo within one's Mind through a committed daily spiritual practice like with A Course in Miracles, to anchor & embody the Love that I was lifted up to in my NDE even down here in the physical world is the real challenge....🤗

My biggest question for NDEs is, how can the retelling of them always be so incredibly detailed? I can barely remember what I had for lunch yesterday, much less the extreme and vivid nuances of every aspect of their NDE. I want to believe, but it always sounds like fantasy prose!

🕉️🙏Because what we are, in truth, is Absolute Existence, Absolute Consciousness, Awareness and Joy, Peace, Love. This is a term called SatChitAnanda. Without a dense, material body and the removal of the vail that appears to separate all beings in "life", in an NDE experience, the Awareness we Are is heightened. This is why all normal senses: sight, sound, aroma, perception, awareness and memory are experienced at another level. These experiences are often spoken of as "more real than here on earth". We Are One. There is nothing separate, nothing isolated. We, the One, has never been born, cannot die. And you and I and all are This, always. Timeless, infinite Existence and no experience in this life or any other can ever harm or destroy That "I AM". Be well, be happy for what you are looking for is what you are looking from. As curious as it is that some do not wish to explore NDE accounts, “experts” rarely, if ever, write of the negative experiences associated with NDE’s outside of the individual’s strong opposition to returning to their form. Here-in-lies the real “juice” for finding a deeper understanding of these repeating timelines, we call “our Life.” These accounts seem hushed and referred to mostly in fictional Horror movies, Sci-Fi like The Matrix, etc. “Serious researches” do not wish to be associated with such accounts and labeled “conspiracy theorists” perhaps? …How interesting that the same fear that prevents some from considering the possibility of NDE’s, seems to prevent so-called-believers from exploring the negative-associated NDE accounts. What could we learn about ourselves if we knew why some have positive NDE’s while others return with reference to some sort of “soul-trap.” 🤔

NDE’s are fascinating but not sure how they are germane to the study and practice of the Course really. What would Ken say? 🤷🏼‍♀️
@CircleOfAtonement
@CircleOfAtonement 4 ай бұрын
Hi India. We feel NDEs are germane to the Course because so many who have them describe experiences that parallel what is found in the Course. Descriptions of God, for example, are remarkably Course-like among thousands of NDEers who have never heard of this path. I could give dozens more examples and we are interested in these connections because they offer validity of the Course’s teaching. As to what Ken would say, well, that’s just never been our measuring stick. We are far more concerned with what the Course says. Hope that helps. - Emily

It doesn't make sense to me that Souls would be sent back to Earth. Most NDE'ers believe that earth is a "school" and thats its beneficial. ACIM does not teach that, but that the world is a mad idea.

Miracle Principle 15. 1) Each day should be devoted to miracles. Time was made so you could use it creatively, and convince yourself of your own ability to create. Time is a teaching device, and a means to an end. It will cease when it is no longer useful in facilitating learning. 2) Have a good day. Since only eternity is real, why not use the illusion of time constructively? You might remember that "underneath are the everlasting arms." You should begin each day with the prayer "Help me to perform whatever miracles you want of me today." Christopher, from my limited understanding, I am just a beginning student of the Course, the separation was the tiny mad idea. We made our world since the Course teaches that God would never make such a horrible place. But since here we are, why not learn while we are here? Maybe the NDE experiencers are sent back because God has a purpose or mission for them to complete that would help them or that would help the rest of us complete the Atonement and so learn that the separation never really occurred. I admit I am struggling with the Course but videos like this really help. Thanks Robert and Jan.
