This was the first movie that gave extremely high anxiety levels, well deserved Oscar.

"Argo" is full of historical inaccuracies. Former U.S. president Jimmy Carter on the movie: "90% of the contributions to the ideas and the consummation of the plan was Canadian. And the movie gives almost full credit to the American CIA. And with that exception, the movie is very good. But Ben Affleck's character in the film was... only in Tehran a day and a half. And the main hero, in my opinion, was Ken Taylor, who was the Canadian ambassador who orchestrated the entire process."

Facts. I love this movie, Affleck is the man who deserved the win and even he got fucked over the Best Director nom, it's a worthwhile film, but movies don't exist to tell the truth either. They're to tell stories and do it well. My dad is from Iran and fought in Tehran with his brothers during the revolution, and our family loves this one for telling the truth about how fucked it was at the time.

The adrenaline rush when the plane is about to take off is unreal. I love this movie. Ben Affleck is a great director. Please keep going with your channel Mike, imo yours is the best out of all the reaction channels.

The embassy hostage situation in Iran and the escape of several employees who found refuge with the Canadian diplomats is real. Because they had snuck out of the embassy they could probably have been shot as spies if they were caught. The movie definitely puts more emphasis on the CIA than the Canadian part in the rescue.

GREAT reaction! I saw this in the theater, and I reacted just like you at the airport scene. My heart was pounding, I couldn't take a deep breath . . . just horrible tension. Such a great movie. You're right, props to Ben Affleck.

It was mainly clarifying that the Iranians were not pleasant with the carter administration and once Reagan administration was into office they released the hostages

I love Bryan Cranston when he tells Engell to "do your FUCKING JOB!!!" I think it's probably what most people watching the movie must have felt like saying to the gutless wonder.

Most of this day from a real event. I was alive to raise time and did not understand how to Shaw. Was very friendly to the u s engaged oil sold.

When they drive to the Bazaar through the crowd of people demonstrating and they start slapping the side of the minibus, you can see the utter hatred etched all over the old lady's face. Not pleasant at all.

It wasn’t a low budget movie they was faking. You have to remember this was way back years ago. That’s how movies looked back then. No way could they make a low budget movie and get clearance to film there. It had to be big.
