Don't forget to save your Workspace in case you want to switch to another and back! Click the Choose Workspace button in the top-right. Name your workspace in the Insert name field and hit Save.

Thank you, this will come in handy. Especially if they ever decide to stop supporting version 1 and/or none of the brushes and materials in their shop work on version 1 anymore.

Despite all the garbage going on with CSP I'll be sticking with it. The feature set it has now is enough for me even if the updates stop for my current version and other programs just don't have the same stuff I need. Krita has the stability of jell-o for me so I warn others switching to it that your performance and stability _will_ noticeably suffer.

I feel people is kind of overreacting to the pricing model changes, I don’t think it will be even a noticeable change for must people, I’ve been paying a subscription for over a year already and it’s like $7 a month, if you don’t have that money you can just use free alternatives to begin with, you can create a main art with Krita is just a matter of confort.

@@jaimerojas6578 I don't think they're overreacting per se, but they do need to realize that clip studio 1.x even after updates is still going to be better than Krita. I doubt it'll ever truly catch up. From what I understand you'll always be able to buy the 1.x version for the $200 asking price, and even if not, well I'm glad I have it. People are rightfully upset because they marketed it as a "Buy once" program only to go back on that 10 years later. It's pretty trashy. But again, switching to Krita just isn't worth it in my eyes.
@RexelBartolome
@RexelBartolome Жыл бұрын
@@bernadettavarley That's fair. While I disagree and I genuinely think that it will eventually catch up, some aspects of Krita are less developed than others. So if people are urgently needing those underdeveloped features for professional work, then ofc it wouldn't be a reliable program to work with. But for other artists, Krita is already capable of providing most of their needs, so this tutorial is mainly for them 😊

@@bernadettavarleySo basically from what I understand the way it works is if you buy the software you only get the x.0 updates and not the stuff in-between. Currently you can flat purchase the 2.0 update and it comes with a free update to 3.0 when it arrives. I actually don't dislike that system as a hybrid model if it stops them from switching to a full subscription service model.

Yea, unfortunately Krita doesn't have this feature yet. Though an alternative is the third tip I mentioned in this video kzfaq.info/get/bejne/g6d6f7KQzqrWfXU.html which you can use 3d models/posing etc. that works for any software :D

Thank you for these tutorials. I hope you continue to go over more features when switching over. Though I am heartbroken over CSP is switch to this less than ideal update subscription model, it will be my daily driver until I find something that fits my needs better. I love the vector layer options to give that up lol. Krita has also been a bit buggy with performance on my Surface. With that said, is there a way I can make the UI more touch friendly? I know I can touch tools on here, but what I feel where CSP has an edge for me is scrolling with my fingers, like with layers. Every time I try scrolling with my fingers, it just drags a layer out from it's current position, which is not the intended result I wanted. The same goes for the brushes. I don't really have that issue with CSP since it has that option to make it more tablet friendly and wanted to know if Krita had a similar feature. Thanks again for your help on this program!

There's a docker made for touch users, it gives a few quick actions placed on bigger buttons so it can be tapped easily. It can be found on Settings>Dockers>Touch Docker. Hmmm for the scrolling I'm not too sure. My best guess is going to Settings>Configure Krita>Canvas Input and look for a gesture/shortcut for scrolling. I've also searched around the forums and none have come up that has the same issue with you. Maybe you can post one yourself about this scrolling thing either on Reddit or on Krita artists page, both are links in the description :) EDIT: I think I found it! Settings>Configure Krita>General>Tools>Enable Kinetic Scrolling, then on the drop down select "On Touch Drag" then restart, it should work as the "normal" dragging function from then on :D

@@RexelBartolome thanks for getting back to me on this! My eraser did eventually go back to normal after I left it alone for a while. And I found the touch drag you were talking about. It still sort of selects stuff, but it's a step in the right direction! Thanks again for your help!

Will the future next version of Krita add 3D Model figures to trace in 2D? Just like CSP.

Is there a way to transfer your brushes from clip studio to krita. I’ve been trying to transfer all my favourite brushes Tom clip studio to krita and I’ve failed 😞
@RexelBartolome

unfortunately there isn't an easy way, they have to be remade in Krita. though there are lots of brushes you can get for free that might do a similar job to the brushes you're trying to copy. There are links in the description on where to download Krita brushes

I don't really understand whats the point of this video, what you are telling us (without any explanation why) is that Krita can mimic the CSP UI, of course it can, but WHY would I do that when Krita is capable of a much better looking and practical UI than CSP ever had. Also if you want CSP UI, why don't you simply use CSP?
@RexelBartolome
@RexelBartolome Ай бұрын
i understand its weird to see this as its own video but this was a series of videos that came after CSP made a fuss about abandoning the one time payment and turning their future updates into a subscription. A lot of people looked into Krita to replace CSP so I tried my best to show how to adjust the shortcuts, settings, etc. so they can feel at home in Krita when transitioning
