He was sold because Arthur Hancock needed the money to save his farm. Hancock was able to save Stone Farm. Also Sunday Silence didn't have the greatest conformation, and had a nasty temper.

Arthur Hancock would have loved to have stood him at stud at his farm. But the Kentucky breeders wouldn't support him. He had no choice but to sell him to the farm in Japan because he couldn't syndicate the horse here.

Sometimes Easy Goer fans remind me of fans of his sire, Alydar, who were just totally convinced that THIS time he would get Affirmed. He is coming on and ANY MINUTE NOW, he is going to surpass his supposedly less talented rival. The proof is in the pudding, though. Results speak for themselves.

The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration filed suit against Alex Harthill on 102 charges of possessing & using unusual quantities of drugs, such as the powerful performance enhancing bronchodilator Clenbuterol, powerful steroids, loop diuretics, extremely powerful painkillers & very strong amphetamines, etc. Alex Harthill & raceday performance enhancing drugs have led to the destruction of integrity in North American racing. Harthill was at the vanguard of giving drugs to horses that were used to vastly enhance their performances, & they were remarkably effective turning good horses into great horses, bad horses into good horses, slower horses into faster horses, horses with no business winning doing so, & causing horses to run far over their heads.
